Air Conditioner failure

Our air conditioner failed during the first heat wave of the summer on a Friday, our normal provider could not be out until 2 weeks and they referred us to Jamison Furnace. They were able to get to our house the following Monday, there was some issues with the air conditioner, which Curt repaired, but he also found an issue with the furnace fan. we got the furnace fan going, but it stopped again a few days later, Curt gave us some advise to get the fan running again, but knew the fan was on its last legs. We checked the warranty on the furnace, and we were supposed to get an additional 5 years when we registered it 5 year ago, but there was no record. Susan and Curt went to bat for us with the manufacturer, and got us the additional 5 years on the furnace with the bad motor, but also our second furnace. Both Curt and Susan were fantastic to work with, both mechanically and with the warranty. GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!!

Furnace Repair

Fantastic customer service and no bs. Repair was done quickly and efficiently and both Sue and Curt were very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

Checking furnace rattle

Susan (employee) called us ahead of time to advise of when Curtis should arrive. Right on time also. Curtis is a nice man and a good worker, a excellent representative of the company. We do definitely recommend this company.

Great service

Furnace intermittently quiting and blowing cold air in the house ( outside the temperature was -30c). One call in the night, an actual person answered!, and we were in the cue for the following morning. The owner came, was very professional and knowledgeable, solved our problem. Furnace fixed, happy family, and we are nice and toasty warm. Thank you!

Hot water tank replacement

I asked Curt to supply a 50 gal Rheem hot water tank I did the installation. He was nice enough to supply the drip pan, PVC and nipples so that I can do the installation myself . He also checked my work upon completion for safety.

Furnace tune up!!

After getting false advise from another “furnace expert” that said I had a carbon monoxide leak, and needed a new furnace for $5k, no actual leak after fire dept was called.. after getting these guys second opinion they tuned things up, and now my furnace is Running great.... thanks so much

That tactic of using the threat of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning due to a cracked furnace heat exchanger to scare people out of a perfectly good furnace and into a new furnace is nothing new, that's been going on for nearly as long as furnaces have heated homes, but lately we've been running into this con game multiple times a week (vs every few months prior to the COVID-19 outbreak), and recently most of the folks that were told their furnace has a cracked heat exchanger and thus is trying to kill them while they sleep were told that by duct cleaners.

I'm not saying that duct cleaners are categorically shysters and shills, there's definitely some good ones out there that wouldn't even consider doing wrong by their clients, just saying that lately there's a lot of folks in the Calgary area being told by duct cleaners (and furnace repair people) that their furnace is a threat to the health and safety of their family and must be replaced immediately, with not only us as another heating and AC contractor finding no problems with the furnace, but also independent 3rd parties with nothing to gain from telling the homeowner there's a problem when there isn't (such as the fire department and Atco Gas) also not finding any problems with the furnace.

Furnace Repair

Had a furnace go down in one rental unit just was we were getting ready for a cold snap (of course). Called Susan at Jamison early in the morning the following day (Saturday as luck would have it) and she was in the office. Susan had a technician scheduled for that afternoon and provided me with updates. I was able to text her video and pictures of the problem and the technician was well informed when he arrived onsite. The tenant was very appreciative of the calls from Susan and the technician. The problem turned out to be a fried circuit board which had to wait until Monday. Once again, Susan was on top of the situation and when I called her at 8am, she had already found the circuit board at 7am. the technician was at the unit by 11am and the repairs were completed by noon.

We will be using Jamison for our future hvac needs. Not only is the service exceptional, the people are honest and do the work right the first time. Well done!

Furnace cold header replacement

Excellent response time and fault diagnosis.
Service Technician was very professional & personable. Answered all questions and provided a comprehensive diagnosis of the fault enabling the homeowner to make a cost effective and logical assessment of repair options available.

Furnace repair

As a homeowner I am always looking for honesty and exceptional customer service when employing contractors to help with household repairs. I have used Jamison Furnace 3 times now and because of the quality workmanship I experienced each time I would be more than happy to recommend this company to anyone who needs furnace help. Family owned and run, you can expect them to do a great job at a decent fee. They are fantastic.
