This is a one-man company that I used in March/April of 2013. I needed him to tape a new home I purchased. His work wasn't bad, and he offered the best price, although he never finished the project.
I withheld 10% of payment because he still had a lot of patching to do on his mistakes (This is normal in construction to withhold a small amount upon completion).
However, he argued incessantly that he was an honest guy, that he would come again, that his word can be trusted, and he NEVER let it go. So, I paid him the rest of the money before he finished, as I felt bad because he needed the money...
I haven't seen him since.
It's now mid-July, and every time I text him he writes, "I'm busy."
So, I'll have to do it all myself now.
Again, his work isn't bad, but I would advise that you withhold payment until the work is complete, otherwise, you'll be doing it yourself.
