Please DO NOT book this company! Not only did they quit half way during the move, they over charged us and threaten to hold our belongings if we didn't pay their estimated end time. The movers were slow and inexperienced; worst of all, could not speak English. Tina the secretary has no customer service skills. Horrific experience ever! We had to find friends to help the movers as they could not lift furniture into the truck as their ramp was broken! Ruined my first move experience. We were left to finish the move on our own. NOT PROFESSIONAL at all!! They did not use runners and left both properties in shambles. I will be reporting them to the BBB!

Smart Movers Canada is very upset with disrespectful review of the customer as a customer received professional service which is completely opposite from the review.
First off all, the client did not provide us with proper information. She told us that there is not much to be moved and her estimated time was 4 to 6 hours. We recommended her to start in the morning time with 3 movers, but she refused because she did not want to pay for waiting time in case she would not get a key on time. Movers arrived in exact time as customer requested (4 pm). They took out TWO fully loaded 30 ft TRUCKS (little more than semitrailer), and there still was some stuff left. When the movers arrived with a truck to the new place the previous home owner and his truck was still loading. It made the process more difficult and slow down. Movers finished unload the second truck at 4 am. In total the job took 12 hours, which is quite good time for 2 movers considering the amount of stuff and overnight working. During the 12 hours of labor movers did not take breaks. We were not able to make the third trip because it was already 4:00 in the morning and the movers were working for 12 hours straight.
The company provides floor runners upon customer request with a notice in advance, since their quantity is somewhat limited, but the customer never asked for floor runners.
Regarding the payment, according to our contract which was sign by the customer, the customer agrees to pay the full payment prior the unloading. The customer paid exact number of hours of movers working and not a minute more. There was no extra charges for client at all, but technically the company were able to make an extra charges cause of overnight working.
Our company did perform a high quality service and all measures were taken to provide a professional moving experience.
We would be really appreciated if the customer edit the review and be true to themselves and to other homeowners.
