Front Door & Storm Door

We ordered Front door, side panel and storm door in early July 2014 for our house in Edm. They informed it would take approx. 8 weeks for them to build & deliver, so the approx. completion date would be early Sept.

One day in the first week of Sept., the mgr. came to our home to inform that the installer mistakenly installed our door & side panel at another house in Spruce Grove. He said they could remove it from their house & install it at our house or they could rush order new door & panel for us, but it would take another 3-4 wks to be manufactured & delivered from Ontario...so it could be installed before winter in Oct.

Oct. came & went. No door. We called at the end of Oct. but they said there is slight delay due to many other orders. It was cold outside, but fortunately no snow yet. We called in mid Nov. & still the units have not been delivered from Ont. Finally in the last wk. of Nov. they called & booked an install date of Nov. 29, 2014.

We were happy that they were finally installed. However, unfortunately after the install, we lifted the sliding glass on the storm door & as it was released, the supposed metal spring activated clips didn't catch into the slots & they broke. They clips didn't look strong at all. They were some cheap die-cast metal. They told us we need to more gently lift & lower the glass & ensure the clips were engaged into the slot before releasing it. They ordered the parts & were replaced a month later.

This winter approx. Feb. 2016 we noticed the rubber weather strip at the bottom of the storm door had already ripped half way off. I suspect the storm door was installed too low. They were ripping off due to the heavy friction of them rubbing on the threshold.

One day in early April we had locked the storm door from the inside. When someone came to our house & tried to open the storm door, the locking mechanism/pin broke. I called Weather Pro Service to ask if they could come take a look it to fix/replace the broken lock & weather strip parts and they informed they could service it in approx. 2 weeks. Three wks. later I called again, however no one is there to answer, only a voice mail informing to leave a msg. A wk. later I left another voice mail.

Today, May 20, 2016, I called, only to hear the voice mail again. I checked their website & called their Calgary office, but same voice mail. I called their Toronto, Winnipeg & Regina offices...all go to voice mail.
