Beware of BAIT AND SWITCH!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Seriously. Read this FULL story before you book these guys.
This company is incredibly dishonest. I requested a quote a month in advance from three different companies and this company was slightly cheaper than the others. So I booked.
The quote was $386. The final price was $510. And that's not even the worst of it.
At 7:23am on a Saturday morning I get a call from the window technician saying he needs a key for his 9am appointment. The appointment was supposed to be 11, but fine. I tell him where I'll leave the key.
He gets to the house, calls me and tells me that the quote I got was way off and it would be much more expensive. I tell the window cleaner not to do it and I called the office to express my concerns. The dispatcher arranged for someone else to come do my house later in the day and told me they would give me $50 off the NEW price, which they would quote me once the technicians arrived.
I told her that I expected the new price to be within a reasonable ballpark of the original quote and she stated "unfortunately, I cannot honour the approximate pricing as it was only an estimate, which is based on the square footage of your home." This is despite the fact that I answered several questions including questions about how many stories I had and whether I had high windows. And regardless of the reason, they should be giving accurate quotes! The point of getting a quote in the first place is to be able to make an informed decision!
The new guy called me with a quote of $560 (minus $50) for interior and exterior windows. Even if that is the going rate (which it isn't because I had other quotes), it's almost $200 more than my original quote. And I had no choice but to accept the amount because I am listing my house on Monday. I told Trevor (the technician) that I felt this price was unfair and that this felt like a bait and switch. He was very empathetic and kind and told me "hey, I'll drop the price and I just won't count a couple of the windows and I'll charge you $450." I thanked him and felt placated.
Then I get the bill and it was the original $510 charge! I texted him to ask what happened and he said "I tried to get the price down, but I couldn't with the window counts. It's hard for me to change them. If my supervisors come to the site to do a window count they will see that I undercharged." See screenshot.
His supervisors don't come to count for the quote so WHY would they come check for the final bill!!!
So they didn't bait and switch me once, but TWICE!!!
These guys are dishonest. Go back and look at other low ratings and you will see that they repeatedly do this to people. Click on "low ratings" and read them. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
