Duct Cleaning

Just like the carpet cleaning, I originally looking into a Groupon/LivingSocial deal but all of the companies had bad reviews and/or limited ducts without an option to pay for extra ducts to be cleaned. So back I came to Homestars (sound like a broken record) & found/chose Dave's Duct Cleaning based on the fact that they have almost 500 reviews with a 10/10 rating. I exchanged emails with Dave who booked me in for October 30 at 330pm. Also received a reminder email from Stanley a few days prior just in case I forgot.

Mark & his fellow colleague showed up an hour earlier than expected (they called to ask if they could do so to which I said that's fine). They got to work almost immediately and within an hour or 2 they were done. Mark took a bunch of before and after pictures, that I now wish I had just to show my girlfriend the difference. He said he found about 30 straws in the ducts (from my girlfriend's old cat) which I found hilarious.

We're about to start renovations in our kitchen so sometime in the new year I'll probably call Dave's to come back and clean them again when all the dust settles (pun intended).
Thanks again!

Company Response

Hi Jeremy - Thanks for the positive feedback. We appreciate the effort to share your sentiments of your service with others on Homestars. Online sentiment of any contractor is definitely important for any homeowner to research; we're glad you settled on us! Before/After pictures are mandatory - if you'd like yours, please email info@davesducts.com and we'll have your certified technicians email them to you directly. As for your upcoming renos - if you can live without direct heat in your kitchen, I'd recommend you block the supply vents to prevent debris from entering them. Use a poly plastic barrier between the kitchen and adjacent rooms to prevent circulation of airborne construction debris (drywall dust etc) to the clean areas of your home; change your furnace filters regularly and use a portable HEPA filter in the construction area to capture any airborne particulates caused by construction and you should be good to not have us return. If after the construction is done and you experience an abundance of dust in other areas of the home; do a thorough cleaning and replace your furnace filters and observe again in another 4 weeks if the problem persists. If it doesn't then there's no need to have us return. Alternatively, give us a call and we'd be happy to walk you through inspecting your own duct work to determine if we really need to return - happy to help. Should you require any additional support, please don't hesitate to reconnect. We'll always be here for you. Sincerely, Dave's Duct Cleaning (www.davesducts.com)
