Big Steel Box

Business provided repossession letter stating storage container would be repossessed if payment was not made "on or before May 2nd, 2023". Payment was made in full on May 2nd, 2023 as per repossession letter terms. Business still repossessed storage container on May 2nd, 2023, damaging items by tilting unsecured belongings within container onto repossession truck.

Stay away from this company. I am a handicapped stay at home dad and had labourers on
hand to unload my belongings on Monday as delivery was scheduled. Got a call Monday afternoon to inform me that my bin was lost and they had no idea where it was. Thank god I took a picture of the bin number before it originally left my old house. Fast forward to Wednesday afternoon and they found my bin in a new subdivision in a driveway only it wasn’t fast forward for me sleepless nights , stress and worry if I would ever see my lifelong belongings again. How could they be so careless with something of this nature. Wednesday afternoon noon they said we are closed tomorrow but will make a special trip to deliver your bin on Thursday as though they we doing me some kind of a favour. No apology and or offer of compensation for what they put me and my family through. Zero stars

Very difficult to line up having the container delivered to un-load. 2week wait and not able to narrow down a time of delivery ! Very frustrating trying to line up people to help us unload the container without details ! Very frustrating!

I started the booking process about a month before my move but they were not able to guarantee my preferred dates. Which was totally understandable but once it got closer to the actual date they were still unsure whether they were able to deliver on time. No one calls and no one had answers. I received a call the day of my move telling me that they have a box for the following monday. If you have plans to move with BigSteelBox, I would HIGHLY RECONSIDER USING THEM. If they don't have the containers/storage boxes then you should let your customers know but waiting until last day? I would NEVER GO WITH THEM. Plus everytime you call, its a new person and no one knows what's going on.

Big Steel Box does not know the meaning of the word integrity. They would rather not honour their commitments than be honest and truthful.
A number of months ago, I entered into a contract with Big Steel Box. They brought the container to our home as expected, and picked it up when we had filled it. We were moving to another community so stored the container at their Abbotsford site for a number of months. We knew we would need to have the container delivered once we purchased a house. When we did purchase a home, we asked them to deliver the container.
Then we were stunned. When we had asked them about storing our goods in one of their containers, we also asked for a price to deliver the container to our new location. They gave us a cost. It was higher than expected, but the move included a ferry, so we agreed with the price they gave us. This price was one of the reasons we agreed to use their container service. Then, when I asked to have the container delivered, the price changed dramatically. They agreed with me that they had given me the initial estimate, but refused to honour the price they had given me. We ended up paying hundreds of dollars more than their original estimate.
I tried for weeks to get them to honour their original price, but they would not do it.
I was terribly disappointed.
Big Steel Box is not a company of integrity. They can’t be trusted. They gave us a price and then would not honour the price. They did not tell us the truth.
My recommendation: Do not deal with this company. They can’t be trusted to keep their word.

Rented a big steel box from them. Their prices are pretty reasonable, and having the box on site was really helpful. Good amount of room and sealing. Good service and they were very helpful
