The Gutter Patrol

I had a problem with one of the house gutters that would constantly overflow and leak. My main concern was the winter since the water could leak on to the driveway and freeze. I called a number of gutter repair specialists in Calgary, but The Gutter Patrol was the only group that would talk to me right away. The others wanted to book a consultation appointment 2 or 3 weeks down the road.
I talked to Moe on a Thursday outlining the problem, the location and length of the gutters and asked if he could provide a quote for new gutters. He said he would get some preliminary costs together and come out early the following week.
However, he called the following morning and said he was doing work in my neighbourhood that Friday, and could come out and have a look that afternoon on his way home. Moe arrived about 4:00 pm and noticed my problem right away: the gutter was not sloped enough to handle the heavy water flow.
He told me right away that I did not need new gutters. He recommended re-sloping the current gutters and adding an additional downspout to handle the water volume. In the end this would save time and money. That was a pleasant surprise.
However, I got another pleasant surprise when I asked when he could do the work, expecting it may take a week or two or more to setup an appointment based on his workload. He said, “I’m here now; I have the materials and tools, so I can do it right away."
Even though it was late Friday afternoon, he took the time to do a good job letting me know what he planned to do and made sure I was happy with the results. He even took the time to test the re-sloped gutters using a water hose to make sure it worked properly and did not overflow or leak on the driveway. He also insisted that if I have any issues in the future, to give him a call and he would take care of them right. After a few heavy downpours, the gutters and drainage work perfectly.
Moe was great to work with, he came up with a solution that saved me money and was able to do it right away. If anyone is having any gutter issues or needs new gutters, I would absolutely recommend that you give him a call.
