Security Company

We've been with United Alarm for almost 3 years. In the beginning, we were satisfied with the service we were getting because there were no issues; however, when the issues started popping up, our views started to change.

In the last 2 years, we've had nothing but faulty contacts that would periodically set the alarm. The first time, the contact that was installed on our patio door started to peel off. We had to pay $85.00 for the technician to come and 'stick' it back on which started to peel again. The technician told us that it's because we have a heavy door which isn't anything different than the typical sliding patio doors. After complaining about it for a few days, they finally drilled a contact on and it was working for a while but that same contact started to set the alarm again for whatever reason. Luckily, we had the guard service so we never had to pay any false alarm charges. Eventually the alarm stopped working all together and we then had to pay another $85.00 to get it working again.

Customer service was okay. I wouldn't say they were bad but I can't say they were great. They didn't seem to want to keep our business because when we told them we wanted to cancel our services, they just sent us the paperwork to end the contract without offering anything to keep us.
Because of that, we will be looking for another security company.
