This company did some tiling for my business/ office space. They did a great job and I was really glad with the work done and the overall finished product. Would recommend!

I originally found this company through HomeStars and now have been using them for several years as my go to. Odd Job basically ripped out everything in an old bathroom and in my basement (i.e. drywall, electrical work, and plumbing). They did a great job and they did it all within a reasonable amount of time.

Odd Job Handyman did some drywalling, installed a microwave, and did some venting work. Although I found them to be a little overpriced, they still did a great job and were very efficient. I found the company through doing research online and looking at reviews on HomeStars.

This is the second time I have used Odd Job and again they did amazing work. This time I needed help cutting Shantex Balcony Tiles. They were fully prepared to take on the the task and did it with a smile. They were very efficient. I couldn't be happier. Would absolutely recommend them.

He fixed my shower as it was only running hot, toilet that was running periodically and an outlet in the bathroom.

We bought a home in Toronto with a basement apartment, took ownership during the winter holidays. The OddJob team were the only contractors who agreed to start working on our basement unit before the new year, they gave us a detailed cost estimate and stuck to it (actually came in a bit under) and finished the job on time.

Our OddJob contractors did a nice job with some solid wood countertops and other repairs in the apartment kitchen, installing new doors and making a few other general repairs. Worksite was always left clean, they confirmed each visit in advance and gave a cost update halfway through the job. They have an excellent office manager who handles payments, bookings, estimates etc. and who always answers the phone.

Six weeks after buying our home we have a happy tenant renting our basement and the the job cost less than we expected. Highly recommend calling OddJob.

Our front door was not latching properly, so I was looking for someone who could replace the entire door frame and searched HomeStars. Odd Job popped up as a well-reviewed service, so I sent them an email. Given the basic job outline, they provided a rough estimate, which I verified against friends I have who have had similar services performed and found it to be within an acceptable range.

It took a couple of weeks to schedule the Odd Job workers to come out, owing to a long turnaround time between them requesting photos of the job to be performed and me finding time to take those photos and send them. In that time, we also established that it might be possible to do *less* than a full frame replacement, but that we would see what the workers said when they came out.

Finally, the work was scheduled to start on a Thursday between 10:30 and noon; the first technician arrived at 10:40 to start assessing the work to be done and the second arrived at 11:00. They talked through what might be done and expressed confidence that they would be able to repair the latching problem without having to replace the frame or damage the door. By 12:30, they had done exactly that. The job was done so well that my wife thought that the door was sticking…not realizing that both latches on the door actually worked, which they have not done since we moved into the house almost seven years ago.

I am now collecting other odd jobs to be performed and will schedule more time with the folks from Odd Job—they did their jobs *very* well. I would highly recommend them to others.

After a most disturbing experience with one of Home Depot's sub-contractors, Odd Job staff were a breath of fresh air. They are professionals from start to finish. Jobs are completed efficiently and correctly. All issues are resolved quickly and to your satisfaction. They answer all questions and keep you apprised of their progress. They are respectful of the fact that they are in your home working. I have already hired them to install my backsplash. I will for sure be using them when I reno my bathrooms next year. No job is too small, they installed light fixtures, motion sensor lights, a ceiling fan, shut off valves under my sinks and a new kitchen tap. They demo'd my kitchen and cleaned up when they were done. In short they are good at what they do. They are reliable and trustworthy. They take pride in their work. Will definitely recommend them and use them again.

My husband and I decided to retain Odd Job based on a positive impression Kelly, the customer service representative, gave in addressing our initial questions. What should have been a half day job turned into an unfortunate 4 return visits experience. I won’t go into specifics, but two of the three jobs left us completely dissatisfied. The shower floor was to be re-grouted, a simple faucet tightening and a toilet valve replacement. Two weeks later, the grout has already come away and the shower floor looks worse than it did before and we have a faucet we don’t want. One of the water lines was damaged in the tightening process and was causing a leak. Odd Job was kind enough to replace the entire faucet at their expense. While my husband was assured it would be the exact same faucet (he even suggested they take a picture to ensure no mix-up), Odd Job replaced our $350 drop down, brushed nickel plated Moen faucet with a $200 pull out, chrome plated Moen faucet. Night and day difference. This new faucet also drips after use and because it is now a pull out instead of a drop down, it's often difficult to return the faucet to its original position when pulled out. Odd Job admitted it was not the same and gave us a 10% discount (still not an amount to quantify the original cost difference). One other point to consider. Odd Job purchased a couple of items for us in order to complete the requested jobs and when the invoice arrived, we asked for the receipts for the purchased items. They will not provide a receipt as it is not in their policy, so if you do decide to use Odd Job, be aware that any items purchased on your behalf will not be backed by receipts and you will have no choice but to pay the amount they claim those items cost. We have a large basement reno planned next Spring and while Odd Job did make an appreciated effort to make matters right in purchasing the faucet, the return visits at no cost, and the subsequent discount, we will not use Odd Job.

All of my stuff would have been on the floor if it wasn't for Odd Job. I had them install some shelves and a towel rack. Everything looks great and feels sturdy. I've had Jessica and Sean over, and they were friendly, worked quickly, and arrived at the exact time they said they would - a real lifesaver when you're on a tight schedule. Kelly was helpful in scheduling a time that worked for me. Very happy with the results, would not go elsewhere. Thanks, Odd Job!
