Absolutely brilliant company from start to finish on our bungalow renovation (we added a 2nd floor and attached garage)
We had the pleasure of dealing with StarTech on 2 occasions (2 part build over 2 yr time period 2018-2020)
The house was transformed from a brick masonry bungalow to an amazing 2 story modern tudor style home with a 2 story garage attached.
The stucco was applied on both existing brick and the new wood construction to perfection, and we immediately realized a much more comfortable main floor due to the tight envelope that was created around our drafty home.
Sean was incredible. Unlike many contractors, he will actually give you excellent suggestions on how to make the project better - what is possible, what would look best and why he is making the suggestion. He has a great team that is very polite and conscious of your property, ensuring everything is kept clean and tidied up at the end of each workday. His team shows up on time, and works to get the job done - no one is standing around - and everyone knows their roles on the site.
I would strongly recommend contacting StarTech if you are considering having stucco work on your home. The quality of his materials are second to none and he is truly an artist at what he does.

I truly do not know where to begin with how ebullient we are with the outcome of the stucco on our house. Sean and his team are amazing and complete experts in the craft of stuccoing a home. As you can see from the before and after pictures it is stunning. Sean was a great help when it came to choosing what colours we should use, what moulding, and banding would work best with the current design and shape of the house. For this renovation we completely redid the entire house because it would be too difficult to match the current colour. We redid all the window, door and band mouldings. Put new stucco on the addition and re-layered the existing house with a fresh coat of stucco to match the colour of the addition. Sean was correcting mistakes that were made in the existing stucco as he redid that portion of the house. He went completely above and beyond the call of duty on this job. They were working hard to get it done and worked over the Christmas holidays to take advantage of the good weather we had this year. Again, we cannot say enough about Sean and his team. If you want it done and done right, you hire these guys. If not, consider hiring them to correct the mistakes of the other stucco company you just hired. Thank you, Sean, for everything!!!

We met with Sean in early spring and were impressed with his suggestions and his knowledge. His portfolio was packed with beautiful projects. It was apparent that he could do the work ... But how was his execution?.

Throughout our rebuild, many of the contractors talked the talked but lacked in execution having little pride in their work.

Sean was the absolute opposite. He very patient and followed up with us on occasion accommodating our projects everchanging schedule.

When we were finally ready to go... Sean and his crew wasted no time.

Within 1 day they erected all the scaffolding around the house and sealed all of the exterior surfaces... by the end of the week the final coat of stucco was applied ... by the end of the second week all of our stone feature walls were finished! Our roofer said he never worked with a stucco crew that was so clean and efficient.

After working hard everyday, the crew cleaned up the site which is no small task ... stucco is a messy business ... they also made considerable efforts to protect our newly installed steel roof and worked alongside the roofer to ensure no details were missed.

Sean and his gang take EXTREME pride in their work and they work fast. They do not cut corners and are MASTER craftsmen.

They are worth every penny and will be your best investment.

Our semi-detached home had existing stucco in poor condition and we had reached out to Startech to quote for repair around windows that we were getting replaced. Sean was attentive and extremely accommodating in the early planning stages of the job and we appreciated his honesty in saying that a segmented spot-treatment repair job was not in our best interest for a quality end product. We shifted our discussion to address the entirety of our home's exterior, adding new insulation and a completely new facade with work being coordinated with the window installation. This would allow Sean to repair several areas that desperately needed attention due to water damage.He was detailed in describing the process and the install method. Being near the end of the working season, timing was important and Sean and his team were working very hard to complete before winter weather arrived.
The crew was absolutely wonderful: very respectful of our property, our neighbours, and the end product makes our house look like a newly-constructed home. Startech's attention to detail and going the extra mile to ensure a client is happy and the job is done correctly to avoid future issues makes them an amazing trade to deal with. We were very pleased with the results of the Stucco job that StarTech recently completed for us.
The house looks completely brand new and sometimes we do a double take as we drive by as it looks so fresh and updated.

From the quote process to the completion of the job they handled everything in a timely and professional manner.
During the quote process, Sean was very detailed and specific about what he could do with the structure we had. No major surprises came up or changes to the original plan. What we appreciated was no additional questions about cost as some of the moldings were re-configured.

As we were chasing the late summer rains, work began before schedule and finished on time.
Sean was patient with us as we made our decision on colour.
Note to future Stucco clients: It's a difficult choice that you will need to live with so give yourself some extra time to look at the swatches in as many different types of light as possible.

It was a big project requiring planning and needed to be coordinated with the window manufacturer so that the stucco treatment proceeded right after window installation.
In the year prior to starting it, Sean came on site not once or twice but 3 times. He explained the process, noted the preparation we would need to do and communicated with the window manufacturer so that a predictable result was obtained. Because of the waterproof nature of the stucco treatment, it was absolutely necessary to get a good seal between the stucco and external window frames. Sean scheduled that too with a caulking specialist. Sean, his partner and team worked efficiently, problem solving wherever a solution was needed. We’re happy we chose Startech…Thank you Sean! Wonderful work. We love coming home to our house every day.

I’d like to share my very positive experience working with StarTech Stucco. We were interested in replacing our aluminum sidings on the top floor, painted in a color which was looking like a rusty metal. Sean, the contact person, is the punctual, friendly and very professional gentleman. The communication was smooth, Sean was always answering the phone or replying to my emails in a timely manner addressing all my concerns. Sean provided us with a reasonable quote comparing to others having multiple options since we were not sure about to include all the house’s sides. Sean was very accommodative to help us to have stucco entirely on all sides. We did stucco on all sides of upper floor replacing the aluminum siding and also on the brick front side of the first floor. The team managed by Yahya did an amazing job! They are highly professional, accurate and hardworking(especially in the hot summer days). Nothing I can complain about the surface quality! They did all the necessary steps to minimalize a mess due to the job nature, covering where needed and cleaning up after, including neighbor’s backyard. Yahya is a great person, he’s very friendly and was always addressing all my questions including outdoor lights and mail box installation on the last day which is very appreciated since I was a bit scared to do it myself without any experience with stucco surfaces. StarTech Stucco did a huge change of the house outlook! We got many compliments from the neighborhood about the beautiful new outlook and even from another professionals (gutters installer) about the job quality following all necessarytechnology without cutting edges. When we started doing Stucco on the new addition we didn't have any clue what to select. This is where Sean came in handy and became our designer!. I highly recommend the advice and colors he suggested. We changed the colours that we selected for sofit / Aluminum work based on his recommendation and amazing different on the look. He helped me some of the issues that I had with the roofer and demanded roofer to redo the flashing. No shortcuts , best quality with modern technology. It almost 2-3 months now after he did the job, I asked advice when my other contractors made some holes and he was helping me to fix it. outstanding customer service. professional and methodical, no headaches to owner. Sean and his team at Star Tech are amazing. I first reached out to Sean in the Fall of 2018, on behalf of my husband who was out of town - unsure if Sean would even call me back. Not only did he call me back, but he scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me, so I could walk him through the preliminary plan for our renovation. Sean showed up on schedule, and spent the time explaining the process, and making recommendations on how he could bring our ideas to life. Due to a couple of renovation delays, we had to put off the stucco until the spring. Sean continued to keep in contact with us, and worked around our schedule when we were ready. Sean helped us figure out the best solution for areas where we were tying in the existing house with the new build, and he did it in a way that was even better than we could have planned ourselves. Sean and his team were always on time, they prepared our property to minimize any disruption to our neighbours, they kept the property clean when they worked, they were professional and polite with my family and ensured our brand new windows were not damaged. When they left, you would never even guess they had been here. I would STRONGLY recommend Sean and his team to family, friends and to everyone else really. They have to be the best of any contractors I have ever worked with. From competitive pricing, to professionalism, to help/suggestion on design details, they were top notch. They arrived on time, did the work exactly as discussed, at the price quoted, provided a reasonable price for one upgrade we decided on along the way, left the yard just as they found it, and explained all work and answered any questions clearly. Sean even came to the house on short notice one morning to meet with my window/door contractor so they could discuss some installation details (this is before Sean’s team had even arrived on site to start the job). The outcome of this job, combined with the new windows, doors, and metal work was nothing short of transformative. Quality of the work/finishing was also perfect…no complaints/concerns at all. StarTech was recommended to me by a co-worker that had used them and I am so glad that I listened! They even came back promptly to do some touch ups where the other trades had caused some minor cosmetic damage. Can’t say enough about these guys.
