We are nearing the completion of a large home renovation project where we have done most of the work ourselves. We had decided on a custom metal interior railing to remain true to the modern (slightly industrial/mid-century) style of our side-split. When you are used to doing the work yourself, it is difficult to trust that other people view quality in the same way you do. From the first contact with Smith Metal Works to the completed installation, we have been so impressed with Tarek, Ricky and the rest of the team. Tarek made recommendations to ensure we got exactly what he knew we wanted and Ricky kept us updated along the way. Their price was reasonable, they were able to help us get our railings installed before Christmas, and we couldn't be happier with the service and quality of the finished product. We will be tackling our landscaping in 2021 and we will be calling on Tarek and Ricky again to help us with a railing for our future back deck. I contacted Ideal Stairs after combing through HomeStars reviews. We live in a side-split home and needed the stairs redone as part of a large renovation on our forever home. Since our stairs are open from the main living space to the bedroom level of our home, it was important that our stairs not only look great, but I wanted them to be done well..as if they were doing them in their own home. From my first contact with Mesh (of many), he provided all the information I needed and answered my many questions. He is professional and honest and responds quickly. Rajan checked in daily to advise me on what time the crew was showing up each day and stopped in a couple of times to check in on the progress and to see if we were happy. We weren't 100% happy with the first stain color sample for review as our floors are difficult to match, and they happily took it back to adjust the stain color until we were happy with it. Overall, Ideal Stairs is very professional to work with, they take pride in the work they do, and we are so happy with the quality of our stairs. They look great, and they were even able to eliminate the squeaks that have bothered me for years. Mesh, Rajan and team - thank you for doing such a great job with our stairs. I highly recommend Ideal Stairs as their prices are fair, and you won't find a company who cares more about the end result than them.

Sean and his team at Star Tech are amazing. I first reached out to Sean in the Fall of 2018, on behalf of my husband who was out of town - unsure if Sean would even call me back. Not only did he call me back, but he scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me, so I could walk him through the preliminary plan for our renovation. Sean showed up on schedule, and spent the time explaining the process, and making recommendations on how he could bring our ideas to life. Due to a couple of renovation delays, we had to put off the stucco until the spring. Sean continued to keep in contact with us, and worked around our schedule when we were ready. Sean helped us figure out the best solution for areas where we were tying in the existing house with the new build, and he did it in a way that was even better than we could have planned ourselves. Sean and his team were always on time, they prepared our property to minimize any disruption to our neighbours, they kept the property clean when they worked, they were professional and polite with my family and ensured our brand new windows were not damaged. When they left, you would never even guess they had been here. Besides the fact Sean and team were great to work with, the house is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined & the colour is exactly what we wanted. It looks so good, that my 12 year old even came home from school and complimented on how amazing the house looks.
