He was transparent and informative by telling me not only about current problems, but also potential ones, as well as offering tips on maintenance and upkeep. Fantastic job! I would like to take the time and write a review for ClearView Home Inspections, in the hope of helping people who are looking for a quality Home Inspection, which i know can be a daunting task. We hired Tom to do an inspection for a Home that my sister was looking to buy for our parents, so we really wanted to make sure that the Home was safe and reliable. From the first moment we met Tom, we could instantly tell that he took his work to Heart. He is extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to explain every detail of the Home Inspection to us, and make us aware of any and all issues that he was able to discover, their implications on the future of the home, their potential repair cost, etc... The report Tom provided was detailed, with great images and illustrations, and again went above and beyond what we expected, it even provided links to information on proper home maintenance for all the different aspects of our Home. I would also like to highly recommend Tom's Infrared Scan service. In our case it helped him discover a leak from the second floor bathroom, which he wouldn't have been able to see otherwise. That leak, if left untreated would have ended up costing us significantly more than what the Scan costed. We used the information Tom provided, and were able to negotiate the price of the Home down a bit, and we have now finalized the deal, and most importantly feel very secure in the fact that we purchased a reliable Home. Tom is absolutely amazing! He made our first time home buyer experience fun :) I have never seen anyone so equiped, thorough and detailed. Not to mention patient. He walked through the whole property with us step by step. First he did his own inspection and took pictures, then he explained everything to us in layman terms. Overall Tom is very kind, knowledgeable and gives great, honest advice. We would recommend him highly :) P.S. The person we are buying from is interested in hiring him for his future property. Very impressed. We had Tom for our house inspection and we were very satisfied with his professional attitude and knowledge. He took the time to explain the issues thoroughly. The infrared camera he uses found some things (heating insulation issues) which are important and can be fixed easily. It's nice to feel that at least we had thermal scan done. We highly recommend Clearview.

Great inspection! Tom was very professional, polite, showed up on time and spent 4 hrs doing a thorough Extended Plus inspection. He was also great at explaining / teaching us about the issues we saw (or didn't see). We were very impressed with the report (not to mention how quickly it was delivered). It was over 60 pages of easy-to-read info and contained tons of helpful photos. Overall, good experience and we learned a lot!

I was very pleased at the quality inspection given to us by Tom. The report was excellent and the thermal camera package was super awesome. He showed us all of the cool spots in the house and what we can do to alleviate problems. It was well worth the extra $. He encouraged us to ask questions and described issues in a way that we could understand. He spent lots of time looking around the house and was very detailed in his report. I found ClearView Home Inspections from Homestars. Tom was EXCELLENT! He was very methodical in the whole process. He clearly explained every aspect of the home while he was ding the inspection. The Infrared scan was definitely worth the money as well and highly recommend it. Tom prepared an incredible digital report at the end of it which was very detailed with all the pictures and highlighting the weak spots.
