Flood and water damage srvices in our basement

Our basement was flooded after the Storm about 2 weeks ago. Since we never had any flood experience, We thought it is just the water from rain and it is clean. We tried to dry mannually,as much as possible and let it dry naturally. After few days we noticed our basement carpets smells bad, So I got Five Star Cleaning comapny on Homestars site and based on their great reputation and reviews asked them to come and clean the carpets. Bob came in, He checked the moisture and showed me that my wall, carpet , behind baseboards were wet, we need to take underpads out and install new one, dry the basement, then clean the carpet, disinfect and deodrize it, So, We agreed to go a head with their services. So, They were busy with all of that for 3 days, Now my basement is clean, fresh, no smell, I don't have to worry about the mould formation. What I learned from thisexperience, we have to leave any job to its professional in first palce to prevent further damage and cost. I could have paid less if I called them very first day?
