Both Hilary and Javier were very prompt in responding to all online and telephone inquiries and in providing an estimate of the cost. On moving day, the two movers (Javier and John) arrived on time, and were extremely careful and meticulous in wrapping, handling, and moving the furniture. Although the actual time required was at least one hour longer than estimated, they honoured their original price quotation. We were extremely pleased with their services and would definitely use them again.

Javier and his crew helped me move from a second floor flat to my new place (also on the second floor) across town. To sum up the experience, let it just be said that they delivered above and beyond my expectations. They showed up with more guys, got the job done in less time, and gave me a bill at the end which was substantially below their original quote. Into the mix was their terrific good nature and hard work. Thanks to the whole bunch. Very greatly appreciated! Moving day was a breeze as a result!

The crew at Cargo Cabbie, from Hilary in the office to Javier/Dale/John in the crew were extremely pleasant, professional, responsive, and meticulous.

The Cargo Cabbie team set a great impression even before any face-to-face contact was made. Hilary was upfront and provided clear, realistic estimates for packing services and moving services. She responded quickly to any questions we had and was very helpful in every aspect of planning the job. We had a last-minute change of date that they accommodated quickly.

We knew our confidence in our selection was justified when the folks at Cargo Cabbie pulled into the tight back alley/loading entrance of our building at precisely 9:30 AM, as scheduled. When they arrived, they were friendly and ready to get cracking right away. When they loaded our items into their truck, they wrapped every single piece of furniture snug into blankets and were incredibly careful with every item. I would be very surprised if our furniture touched any wall, door, or other piece of furniture at any point during the move. They had my entire apartment empty within less than two hours.

Our new apartment is only accessible by three flights of stairs, all twisty and narrow. To make things worse, the bedroom of the apartment involved another very narrow, steep stair. Although Javier and the crew were daunted, they worked extremely hard and set about the challenge with smiles on their faces and got everything done hours faster than I would have imagined. Mind you, this involved lugging a 300-pound bed up four flights of narrow, twisty stairs.

I have a lot of unused superlatives in my pocket, all of which apply to the Cargo Cabbie crew. I won't overdo it because I'm sure they'll sound mythical by the time I'm through. However, I will say this much: Javier and his crew legitimately care about doing a good job. They are meticulous and do everything right, but they won't waste your time either. Our move could have been a nightmare - instead, we were able to get through it quickly and in such good order that we are now 80% unpacked after 48 hours. I have legitimately seen lawyers who are less detail-oriented than Javier.

If you care about your things, if you have any stress about moving at all - call these guys and they will make sure it happens in good order. There is no question that every dollar you spend with Cargo Cabbie is worth it.

Like the reviews say: great service! I needed to move one oversize credenza from my condo to my off-site locker, and then come back to my condo with another piece of furniture. Hilary was prompt and efficient with the appointment scheduling; and Javier and his crew of two movers were quick and careful with the actual move. I have now used Cargo Cabbie a few times, as has my best friend. What makes this company remarkable- in addition to the exceptional service and care you get- is how amazing the guys are who move your stuff. It's a great sign for a company when you can get and retain such a great team. Impressive. Will continue to use them for both one or two item moves (they recently moved a beer fridge and couch across town for me) in addition to larger jobs (this week they moved all my main floor furniture back after moving it to other levels while I got floors refinished.. and note I have a 500lb bar that they had to maneuver) . Will continue to use this great company.

Not only were these guys the best moving company I've ever hired (and I've moved a lot of stuff), they are one of the best service companies I've ever done business with. They actually showed up a little early which is a first for me in dealing with moving companies. They didn't waste any time and got right down to business, no dithering or killing time. They took exceptional care with the furniture wrapping everything in blankets which I was thankful for since they were moving a very old and rare dinning set. They even took apart the dinning table for me and wrapped up it nicely. Upon arrival at my place they laid down mats to protect my carpet and they also took care not to scratch the floor or the walls. On top of it all, Javier is a no nonsense friendly guy who sticks to the quoted estimate and doesn't play around with any " surprise fees." The crew is also a very friendly bunch of guys who show a professional respect for the customer's furniture. I will definitely hire them again next time I move. 5 stars!

On Monday April 15th, I moved contents of a one-bdrm in East York to a two-bdrm in North York. I was scheduled to have 2 movers, but received the gift of two more who were in training. These true gentlemen (they were gentle with all contents) were on time, courteous, professional, personable, kind and efficient. Javier and Chris were remarkable. The move went smoothly and I felt that they took pride in handling all contents as if these were their very own. The quote was right on. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wanted to have a zen-like experience moving from apt to apt. Moving is already stressful and these gentlemen did not add to the stress. I was referred to Cargo Cabbie from a friend. Right from the booking process with Hillary, to the end payment process, my experience with Cargo Cabbie was fabulous. The process was extremely professional. They arrived on time, the movers were very polite, engaged and mindful of my "stuff. " All of the movers made every request seem easy and "not a problem".
