I moved into a resale house close to the end of August. We do a lot of ethnic cooking, but I am super sensitive to the cooking smells. My first priority is to replace the old less-powerful range hood. Finding a better model is easy, but retro-fit it into the drop-in custom island is difficult.

First of all, Mr. Rescue Charlie was very upfront in terms of his availability. After knowing my situation and my busy schedule, he managed to squeeze me into his busy work schedule by coming in the early morning. For my little project, he came in three times. First one was a free estimate session, when he gave me some professional advice and the process that is required to get the job done. The second appointment was to take off the old unit. He took his time to make sure not only the old unit is taken off the drop-in structure, but also nothing else is damaged to minimize any potential re-work. By the third appointment, He successfully retro-fit the new unit I bought. Because it is a retro-fit, he also gave me some advice to get some custom stainless steel part to cover the exposed exhaust pipe. His service charge is reasonable, and his work quality is awesome. I am sure he has enough repeat customers to keep him busy, so I am grateful that he took extra effort to finish my project in time.

Since the end of August, I had the urge to give a positive feedback to him on Homestars, where I found his information. Due to my business travel and settling into the new home, I just had the time to write this review today. Thank you Mr. Rescue, and thank you Homestars.
