Squeak Knights - Squeaky Floor Silencing

We purchased an older home with squeaking floors on second and third floor. The work was done properly and in a timely manner. It is remarkable how well this service works in eliminating the noises coming off of older floors. I would definitely recommend this Company. A bit on the pricey side but the work is painstaking and meticulous.

Out of the gates - very friendly ..Hours not great, but they try to accommodate. We found them pushy and would strongly suggest that you review the warranty and the conditions under which they support the work.

Found this company when I googled "fixing creaky stairs". After seeing some DIY solutions, I came upon Squeak Knights and contacted them. Was quite concerned that because we had a curved open back staircase, it would be a problem. Owner Lev came, gave us a very thorough inspection and thought his method would work. His crew - two Alexes - came and several hours later the job was done. Most steps were creak-free within a day and when I called back a week later to comment that a couple were still creaking a bit, Maxim sent the guys back to remediate; those stairs are now noise-free. We highly recommend Squeak Knights for their methods and professionalism.

Squeak Knights are a highly skilled and professional team. They worked their magic and within hours my squeaky kitchen floor was silenced. Now it feels solid and lux under foot. There are no visible holes. Being an artist/designer, attention to detail and aesthetics are very important to me. I was hesitant at first with many questions, but Lev and Maxim were wonderful, offering expert advice and guidance without ever being pushy. The two technicians (both named Alex) were a joy to watch as they stood on my creaky floor with the most suscinct currated moves, tap tap tapping with their special thin soled shoes assessing the problem area. It was akin to watching a performance from the Bolchoi Ballet! They are masters of their craft with a highly unique and effective process, precise, swift and super clean! I highly recommend Squeak Knights . I am super pleased and very satisfied with the results. I will be calling them to work on other areas in my home.

I had many areas throughout my house where the hardwood floors made squeaks and crackles. I tried fixing a few areas on my own based on some youtube videos, but none worked. I was contemplating replacing the floors, when a google search led me to Squeak Knights. I decided to give them a shot. And I'm very glad I did.

Lev showed up at the assessment appointment and carefully explained the process. We went throughout the house and marked all the places that required silencing (including a few stairs). Lev is very knowledgeable and patiently answered all my questions.

Lev's crew showed up a few weeks later to do the work. They were careful, efficient and complete. They made sure that each spot squeaked or crackled no more.

There were a few spots that especially annoyed me, and I would often walk around it. But now I walk over it with confidence and only hear silence.

We were in the middle of a bathroom Reno and needed a longstanding major squeak fixed which had plagued us for years. We wanted it attended to as old floor tile had been removed, the floor was bare and before installing new tile. We called Leo from Squeakknights on a long weekend and he accommodated us on short notice. Leo himself attended to our call for help and with his expertise were able to find that the annoying noise did not originate from the floor as suspected, but instead it was the frame, holding a pocket door which was rubbing against the subfloor. Once the source of the noise was diagnosed, Leo quickly came up with a fix-and voila, the squeak disappeared. Thank you Leo for coming out so quickly and fixing our problem for good. I must admit that I was skeptical that the very squeaky hardwood floors in the hallway of my 60+ year bungalow could be silenced-but silenced they were. The floors could not be accessed from the basement, so Squeak Knights used their process whereby they drill small holes in the hardwood and inject their secret sauce. This is a time consuming process that takes great patience on the part of the staff. I was very impressed with how hard working the staff were, and they even showed up on time and on the scheduled day. The drilled holes are not visible and the only difference is no more squeaks-even the wife is impressed. My only regret is that I didn't have them fixed sooner. I highly recommend.

I had a s*itty contractor make a mess of the install do my subfloor and just put the wood on top. Found this out when I had a pipe burst and got to see what he did when the tile was replaced. Anyhoo our wood floor was cracking and loose. Everyone said it was water damage and it would need to be removed. Then I contacted Lev who identified the problem right away. I didn’t tell him I already knew.

So the guys came and spent an entire day carefully drilling and filling with the adhesive. With my problem they would drill a lot of the holes in the seams but those in the planks were done in the training so the marks are almost undetectable. I’ve attached 3 pics from about 5’7 from the floor and one up close to show how uninvasive the holes are. The floor is now solid and as silent as wood floor should be. We will sure to have Lev back in the future to do more squeaky spots! Thank you!

Had some really bad squeaky floors upstairs after new hardwood floors were installed several years ago. Called several flooring experts to give us advise but no luck other than to rip out and replace. Found Lev on homestars, called and after going through the home, found our problem areas (there were a few). We were worried about damage to floors or potential of not resolving issues, however Lev explained process, how they do the work, how the problem areas may be accessed, how floors may be affected (barely noticeable or none at all) and their guarantee. Work was done and guess what??? Absolute silence!!!! So glad we made this decision.

We highly recommend Squeak Knights.

When we bought a house, we decided to replace the carpets on the first floor with wood flooring. We carefully screwed in the subflooring to the joints just before the new flooring was to be installed. Low and behold, even after we put screws everywhere, there was an entire room that was squeaking and creaking like crazy, worse than before the screw went in.

In a panic, since the flooring company was coming the next day, we called Squeak Knights and I spoke to Lev, the mastermind behind the business. He tried his best to accommodate our situation. He even had his schedule re-aranged to personnaly come and not only evaluate the situation but also work to fix it. We worked on 4 areas where the squeaks and creaks were the worse and we could not believe it when the squeaking and creaking was gone.

We thought that Lev must be some sort of magician! However, he is very knowledgeable and by the sound of the squeaking and cracking he was able to pinpoint the source of the noise and apply a fix. It was amazing to see and experience.

We tought that squeaking and creaking noise is something you simply have to live with. However, we now know that this is not the case and before we replace the carpet on the stairs with hardwood, we will definitely call Squeak Knights to help with the squeaking and creaking steps.
