We interviewed a few different contractors and chose Marcel because of his attitude to customer satisfaction and the reviews we had read on here. We were not disappointed! We were on a tight scheduled when we started looking for a contractor and he managed to keep the project on budget and he completed it on time. We are thrilled with the final result. He made sure that we were informed upfront with any "potential" issues that may arise and he was very accomodating with some of the changes we wanted to make along the way. He is very knowledgeable and is truly concerned with making sure his clients are happy - every step of the way. We were also very pleased with every trade that was in our home. We knew each day who would be in our home and they were all very professional and very respectful of our property. They all showed up on time and left their work area clean at the end of each day. I would strongly recommend Marcel to anyone and we are looking forward to working with him again on our future reno plans. A very big THANK YOU to Marcel and his team!!

Contractors were always on-time to work. They protected all areas that they used/walked-on/etc. before starting any work. Cleaned up everything every day. I was informed of any challenges/changes that needed to happen.

Professional, reasonable, and quality workmanship. Stay away from the $4.99 sign companies. Marcel tore out my deck and replaced it with what I have always wanted, a quality interlock patio. No more animals living under a wood deck.

surprisingly fast, kept the job site as clean as possible for a construction point of view and his trades were a pleasure to work with. I will definitely recommend Marcel for anyone to finish their basements.

Marcel and his team came highly recommended to us and we weren't disappointed. As with every renovation, there were glitches that had to be dealt with through the process, and Marcel was able to find us alternatives and solve the problems quickly and to our satisfaction. His team was professional and friendly and the work they did was great - we're especially thrilled with the great tile job on the floor and in the shower.

Contracting By Us removed our old wood burning fireplace and oversized stone surround, took down the interior of the chimeny and removed a load bearing wall that seperated the living room and dinning room, creating an open concept great room. They framed, moved electrical outlets, added potlights, drywalled and painted the walls. They installed plaster crown moulding and a new hardwood floor. They also installed granite counters and a tumbled marble backsplash. My wife and I love the look of our new great room. We found Marcel and his trademan amazing. Thier work was total quality. They finished 3 days ahead of schedual. I strongly recomend Contracting By Us for the following resons.
