Termites Extermination

We had discovered termites in our basement and was really scared. We did not know what to do, then we went on internet looking for some information. We called Snap Control and they gave Joe's phone number to call. Then we called Joe and his voice on the phone sound so friendly. He came to see us very soon and walking around our house tried to find where the termites were coming from. He had spent a lot of times examining and explaining things to us. His price was very reasonable and he had listed all the calculation on how to arrive the price. At the day he came to work, he did not rush himself. He did the jobs very carefully and in very professional manner. After the job was done, he provided lots of ideas for us because we want to renovate the basement. He told us if we ever have any question, call him and he is willing to help us out. Joe, very much appreciated for your quick assistance and very professional services. Your friendly smile and caring had calmed us down. We definitely will recommend your professional services to our friends and neighbors if they ever need one. Best regards.

Company Response

thanks for the great review. I relied on some previous jobs to help me tackle this pest issue. The problem was a badly chewed up staircase and I knew we had an opening somewhere because the basement foundation was cinder block and showed little signs of humidity as well as termite shelter tube material. It was important for me to remove the walls on both sides of the stair case because I wanted to find the access. Finally, after removing a vertical support stud a hole about he size of golf ball was discovered. A chemical treatment in tandem with the sealing of all potential access areas with high strength parging cement was the required course of action. I could see termites in the grass, the trees, even the mulch outside and realized we had to protect the house as much as possible. I make calculations on all my termite related jobs because its important for people to know just exactly how much chemical and concentration is needed to fully treat a home. Holes were drilled every foot apart into the basement slab one foot away from the walls. It was decided to go with a concentration of .75% instead of .5% as added insurance. Also, I even cross drilled holes into the floor joists and sprayed them twice. I even went around the exterior twice with a 2 hour gap so the soil could absorb termiticide evenly without becoming too concentrated on the bottom only. Later, a dust was injected into the wall voids as an added precaution. I take termites seriously and am happy it all worked out well in the particular case. Joe Snap Pest Control
