Versatile Renovations

At last, a renovation company that does an excellent job at a fair price. Friendly, professional staff (Mark and Herb), arrived on time and worked hard to get the job finished on time and to a high standard. Always going the extra mile to set a high standard of workmanship. I was extremely happy with the finished product.
I will certainly use them again, and have no problem recommending them to anyone.

We recently had our upstairs bathroom renovated and front entrance tiled. The bathroom was a complete redo including shower/bath to walk-in shower conversion. The whole process was great from start to finish and the bathroom looks absolutely amazing. Extremely professional.
Herbie, Mark and Braden were very professional and extremely meticulous. They were very open to suggestions and they had some great ideas we hadn't even considered. They were very helpful and pleasant throughout the process and kept our home really clean. Mark even entertained our dog (or maybe put up with him).
All said it was a very satisfying experience and I would definitely use their services again and I would highly recommend Versatile Renovations for any projects you may be considering.

Versatile Renovations has been my go to contractor for many years and various projects. Herb, who is the owner, and his team recently renovated a basement bathroom starting with busting concrete and installing all new plumbing lines through to tiling and the finishing touches of hanging towel bars!
Herb is a perfectionist and expects the same of his trades people. He always uses high quality material so it is done correctly the first time. He thinks ahead to ensure renovations of other areas will have access. Herb has always honoured his quotes and project time management is excellent.

This review will sound like a broken record…which is clearly a good thing!!
We’ve been planning to renovate our master bath since we first walked through our house over 8 years ago. When you’ve had a ‘vision’ in your mind that you’ve been tweaking for that long, it’s important to find the right company to bring it to life. But not just bring it to life, you want to sleep at night not worrying about the craftsmanship, it can’t just be pretty, it needs to endure the daily grind. We couldn’t be happier with the result!
We were told it would be a few months before we would be on the schedule, but that once we were, they would be on-site every business day working on it, and they were…worth the wait! We told at the quoting phase it would likely take 8-10 working days to complete, it was 8. We were provided a quote, and the final invoice was the same to the penny (or nickel now that the penny is no longer).
Renos are messy and disruptive, you can’t avoid it; having a company in your house that respects your property, time, etc. is paramount, and unfortunately in most cases you learn that the hard way in the midst of it (speaking from multiple past experiences…if only we had known of Versatile back then).
Every single interaction we had with anyone at Versatile (from email to on-site) was extremely respectful and obviously take a lot pride in their work and the final product.
We could go on-and-on; we would recommend the Versatile team with zero hesitation. Thanks again!!

We are very happy with our new bathroom.
Herb was great to deal with from day one. He provided us with a reasonable quote then actually stuck to that budget. There was zero surprises.
Both Herb and Mark were professional, and easy to deal with. They always made sure we were happy every step of the way. They never argued anything we asked for.
The team was great with our 3 year old, they respected our home and made sure that everything was clean at the end of each night. I never had to pick up after them or feel like my son could hurt himself on anything.
There was one tile that did not sit well on the tub, we mentioned it to Mark and Herb. Mark showed up the next morning and ripped out 6 tiles and replaced them so everything is perfect. We were shocked! great service! they really do go above and beyond to make sure the job is done right.
Even after they got payed they showed up the second we mentioned we wanted something tweaked.
we are super happy with their work and would recommend them and plan on rehiring them in the future!

We were very happy with the workmanship and how quickly Mark got the job done. We only have the one bathroom so it was important to have the bathroom as quickly as possible. Mark completed the job in two days. He kept our home clean and was respectful of us and our home. Mark removed all the garbage and we are very happy with our new bathroom.

We had a hole in the bladder under our home And had Herb and his helpers (Rich and Brayden, young men that Herb is teaching) come in to repair it. While he was under there he noticed that who ever had put the heat tape on our water supply line had insulated it with foam tubing (this was done prior to us purchasing the home and by another repair guy) Herb immediately brought this to our attention because it's a fire hazard. He and the young lads removed the foam insulation and replaced the
heat tape and installed the correct type of insulation.
This is not the first time we have had Herb in to do repairs and are always pleased with his workmanship, professionalism, honesty and pricing.

Versatile just finished a bathroom renovation with steam shower as well as a few other items in my house.
From the very beginning I could tell that Herb was as honest and upfront of a contractor as I had ever met. It was a bit of a wait to get him and his crew on site. But now that I know the level of workmanship that these guys provide, I will happily wait until they are available.
Mark was the foreman on our job and he worked like a dog from day one and was always a pleasure to deal with. My wife was at home most of the time during the reno and she said she never once saw him sit down in the 10 days of the renovation.
A few issues came up during the project as they always will. Herb was quick to bring them to my attention, and they were sorted out immediately. Everything was addressed and brought up to code.
His pricing is transparent and absolutely fair and reasonable.
During the work I had the guys also install a new hot water tank, dryer vent, main water service valve and water de-scaler. Even with the extra additions they still finished the job on the original schedule and everything came out perfect.
I would not recommend him for anyone looking to take shortcuts to keep prices down. But if you want everything fixed perfectly, correctly, and for a reasonable price, he's your guy.

I'll have them back soon for further renovation work. No question at all.

Herb and Mark recently renovated our full and half bathrooms. From the quoting process through the renovation, Versatile Renovations was the best contracting company i have ever dealt with. Herb's quoting process was extremely detailed and transparent, giving me comfort the job would be done thoroughly and honestly. I was also impressed with Versatile's use of high quality materials vs. the builder grade materials most contractors seem to use. Mark and Herb showed up early and stayed late each day to ensure the job got done and they also did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day. Moreover, they devised a number of creative solutions to address issues with our bathroom and made sure we were satisfied with the end product (removing difficult ceiling texture, recessed medicine cabinet, extra shower niches, relocating heat registers, etc.). The job was done on time, on budget, and with tremendous attention to detail. We love our new bathrooms and would have no hesitation hiring Versatile Renovations to do future projects.
