Piano move

James and his team were the consummate professionals. We had to move our piano from our house into storage, and then months later back into our house. Both times James and his guys showed up on time, were very careful with the piano as well as the floors. They moved us back into the house during a snow storm, and they took great care of our piano. I would completely recommend piano inside.

Baby Grand Piano Move

James and his team were total professionals. They were so careful in handling the baby grand piano, wrapping it and transporting it gently. It was a very professional and seamless experience and I'd use James again. I had a couple of questions about the piano afterwards which he gladly answered. A good experience overall.

Tuning an old Kawai Baby Grand

Overall, a satisfactory performance.

Inherited my parents Kawai baby grand piano: since it takes up so much room and I no longer play I intend to sell it, and decided that it's worth getting a tuning and a general report as to its condition.

Arranged an appointment with James from PianoInside. Get a call from him the day of the appt. requesting a reschedule: turns out his previous job took him four hours. That piano needed extensive repairs and he spent much of that time on his back and in awkward positions. As such, he was pretty burned out and requested we re-schedule. I agree - it's the nice thing to do, and besides, I want him alert for my tuning.

Arrives on site next day with a truck and a trailer for parts and piano transport - I guess these tuners at PianoInside come loaded for bear, as it were. Assisted him in parking his rig. As for the rest, not much to tell: he took approx. 1.5 hours to tune the piano (which is about right) and it sounded almost pitch perfect (the old piano wouldn't accept a concert tune, but he knew just how to pitch it down a notch).

I requested a verbal assessment of the piano's condition (free with a tuning, otherwise there's a charge, written evaluations available for a fee as well) and was pleased to hear the old piano is in great shape for its age. Was given a rough estimate as to its re-sale value.

The only quibble was regarding payment, which causes me to downrate the service from 5 to 4 stars. As we were about to part James said he only took cash, cheques or e-transfers, not credit cards. I told him I had none of those things ready, and noted that he really should have told me about this beforehand. James seemed a tiny bit suspicious, so I offered to have him photograph my driver's lic., and promised to pay via e-transfer within 24 hrs.

Would nevertheless highly recommend PianoInside, but save yourself hassles and arrange for payment ahead of time.

Piano Tuning

James arrived on time; he was friendly and started to the job almost immediately. He tuned the piano efficiently and expertly. He was very helpful in explaining the technique of tuning pianos and made sure that I am aware of how often the tuning should be done. He educated me about humidity and how it affects the quality of sound. I would highly recommend his services.

Piano Move

James was able to fit us in his tight schedule. James and his crew showed up earlier than scheduled time and waited until I showed up at the pickup location. They were very cautious and made sure the piano gets delivered in a great condition. James also inspected the piano at free of charge. Thank you!

I'm so glad that the used piano buyer in GTA are getting smarter every year.

10 years ago, high percentage of the piano I was moving were good on outside but not bad shape on inside.

Now most of them are Good on inside. I think that's because of the internet. People share's good information more and more.

Our website is one of good places to gain knowledge when you decided to be a good piano hunter.

I hope many people can utilize it before make a decision.

Piano moved from Vaughan to Caledon

I was moving my treasured grand piano that my parents bought for me when I was 14, from their home in Vaughan to my new home in Caledon. Another company gave us the run around for over 6 weeks, and cancelled 3 times with merely hours notice. My husband found piano inside online and emailed them on a Saturday afternoon. They were willing and available to move the piano the following Sunday morning. The three gentlemen handled my treasured piano so carefully, they wrapped it with blankets to ensure its protection. They were courteous, and polite, treating both us and both houses with respect, laying down carpets to walk on so as not to dirty the floors. I am so grateful to have my piano in my new home and can't wait for James to come and tune it once it has climatized. Thank you so much James and crew.
