West Bloom Disaster

Purchased our "forever" home from Country Green just over a year ago and have had nothing but headaches. Over a year later, and the list of issues is still extensive. Started off on a bad note - the foundation was poured too low in one section and "repaired" using cinder blocks. It looks awful, and the parging they have done TWICE to cover the cinder blocks has fallen off - TWICE. We paid $5000 extra for a "lookout" lot. The windows are set well over our heads and we are unable to "look out" at anything. They put the wrong brick on the house - NOT the colour we selected. The waterproof building wrap was ripped off a section of the house by the ladder of the siding installer. Despite multiple calls to repair it, it is STILL not fixed - 13 months later. Kitchen sink fell out - TWICE. Multiple times this past winter the interior of the widows completely iced over. Were told it was our fault for A: putting blinds on the windows, and B: having the humidity too high. Lowered the humidity and it was still happening - even on an upper level stairwell window with NO BLINDS. Toilets were not flushing correctly - discovered the shipping elastics still installed - so obviously plumbing was never inspected. They forgot to install a shower head in the basement bathroom, and had to smash through the tile wall to put it in. The tiny rear deck is not connected to the structure - only to the brick veneer. Kitchen backsplash does not go up to the bottom of the cupboards. but as long as you are 6 ft away it looks fine, so they won't fix it. Kitchen tile is incredibly uneven, resulting in multiple stubbed toes. Fully insulated garage was very drafty. Doors were not installed correctly and it took 6 tries (along with multiple no shows) to correct it. Painters scratched our hardwood floors moving furniture around (to fix their awful touch up job) and had the nerve to tell us the 8 boards scratched weren't noticeable. Hardwood company came today to "fix" it, took out a chunk of the floor to put new boards in, and it doesn't fit properly (many gaps and uneven to walk on) and looks even worse than before.

Approximate cost of services:
