Bath Renovation

We purchased 2 Vanities from Muti for 2 seperate bathroom Reno's. The first Vanity was installed without issue, however, the 2nd Vanity had an obvious defect. After speaking with Muti and sending in pictures, they agreed to replace the countertop and sink basin.

Roughly a week later the replacement was shipped to the Oakville showroom and I was able to arrange to get my trades back to complete the job within a couple of days.

In the second attempt to install the replacement countertop and basin, my trades ran into another defect. Again after speaking with Muti they offered to have a 2nd replacement shipped to their Oakville showroom. At this point, I was expecting something more and couldn't believe they didn't offer to compensate me for all this. After sending an email expressing my disappointment, Muti responded by offering their apology and a $50 in store credit!!...The stress and inconvenience of having to put my project on hold for almost 2 more weeks, having to drive back and forth from Muti to pick up and return 2 separate replacements and having to pay trades for their time to come out and essentially do nothing other than identify defects and to be insulted with a $50 in store credit was probably the worst part of all this. For those that are considering Muti as an option I hope that my experience is an uncommon one.

Hi Dino, your experience with our vanities was quite unusual and uncommon. Our product defect rate is under 1%. I am not sure what was expected as compensation? We offered a $50 in store credit as a gesture of acknowledgement for your frustrations. By no means would we imply that your time is worth only $50. If you don't think we treated you fairly please let me know what you think we can do. Please do consider when one is called back for a recall for a defective part on their Mercedes Benz, I don't think they are given any in store credit for time lost in bring back their car, only maybe a cup of coffee.
