We hired Cando Renovations to do a rough opening for a closet in a load bearing wall that also had a brick veneer. Our experience echoed the other reviews here: Bert and his team were knowledgeable, approachable, fast (the entire job took about 4 hours), cost competitive with the other bids we received, and overall a pleasure to work with. The only con is that there was a lot of dust (from cutting the bricks). They did use fans to blow most of it outside, but a lot ended up in the house anyway. Maybe some plastic sheets or something would have helped isolate the area.
That said, we're happy with the work and we'll definitely be considering them for future renovations. Thanks, Bert!
