We noticed a small water drip coming from one of our upstairs bathroom vents after a rain. I did some investigative work in our attic and couldn't locate any signs of water penetration, so I suspected the problem was currently limited to a roof vent leak. I sent messages to two contractors from Homestars who had good reviews. Mr Roof Repair contacted me back promptly (I still haven't received any message from the other contractor) to discuss their process and pricing.
After some more communication with Michael, I decided to book an appointment. A repair specialist (Piedro) came out and identified that the roof vents had been installed without using roof cement. He addressed the leaking vent and also the nearby vent, which wasn't leaking (yet), as it also hadn't been installed properly. I really appreciated the fact that Piedro was willing to go one step further and educate me about the roof, so that I could better understand what makes one roof last longer than another.
We haven't had any drips since the repair was done, so I'm pleased with the results.
