It began with a major plumbing problem a day after we moved into our new home. The downstairs laundry sink was backing up quite drastically. We called one company (a bigger one) and they subsequently came, charged us an arm and a leg for nothing and left a huge mess. They said I had a broken pipe in the basement and that it would have to be dug up. They said it would cost $4800. I called Valentin at Strong plumbing the next day to get another opinion. His crew (Dennis et al) came promptly, and did an amazing job which was completed that day. Very professional, knowledgeable and communicative. They went the extra mile!! AND Broken pipe issue was resolved for 1/3 of what the other company estimated. Not only that, in the midst of a crisis, as a first time home owner, I was given peace of mind. For a little bit more (since they were digging up my basement anyway) Valentin's crew roughed in a shower and toilet drain. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My last encounter with Valentin was in 2012 and I thought he would forget about me considering the hundreds of clients and the passage of time but to my surprise - he still remembered. Anyway, my master ensuite toilet was leaking and after I left a voice message, he promptly returned my call and set up an appointment. Just like he did 2 years ago, Valentin diagnosed the problem and got to work immediately. I had the fill-in valve, flapper and braided supply line replaced. Val even checked my other toilet (for the kids) if it had the same problem at no cost and gave me some tips on how to determine if there was any leakage. He also showed me how to clean the fill-in valve, if in case there was some residue from the water main pipe replacement that was also happening on my street. Valentin was courteous, polite and very pleasant to deal with - just like the first time I met him. He was very considerate of my home and property i.e. wore shoe covers to protect the floors/carpert, cleaned up after the repair. So lucky to have found him in Homestars in 2012 and still privileged to find him in the same excellent form 2 years later. I recommended him to 2 of my friends even though they lived in Mississauga and North York. Thank you Valentin!

I heard about Strong Plumbing through HomeStars and the high ratings for Valentin were spot on. He is a true professional and has deep knowledge of his trade. He was punctual, followed up immediately on key items and was a pleasure to work with. I had issues with my garburator and a few of my toilets and he solved all challenges. I would highly recommend him to others.

We originally hire strong plumbing to replace our water line. A few weeks later we had a main sewer backup do to a root in the basement. We were impressed with their work on our waterline and thought they would be perfect. The main sewer line replacement was very messy and required a lot of digging. The workers were all very respectful and tried to be as neat as possible. Once all the work was done they cleaned up thoroughly!

I would recommend them to anyone! These guys are pros.

We had some major leaking in our basement and sewage coming up through the drain. We had two quotes from other plumbers who said it was a waterproofing issue and wanted to charge almost $10000. We called Valentin and he came that day and was able to solve the problem (it was not a waterproofing problem). He was very calm and explained the issue clearly. His crew came the very next morning to fix the basement. They were very nice, punctual and tidy. There ended up being more problems than expected but he stuck with the original quote.
We were extremely pleased with the work done and would highly recommend Strong Plumbing.

I cannot say enough about Valentin and his company. From beginning to end they gave 100%. They were all so kind, respected my home by ensuring it would be kept in good condition, and explained the job to me step by step so that I could fully understand. As well, Valentin walked me through the process of applying to the city to replace the city pipes. I won't ever choose anyone else.

Valentin came by to change my main water shut-off valve and for a few other items. Valentin was on time, he was very quick and efficient, he did quality work, he gave great advice about various plumbing related items, and he was very pleasant. The people who rent us our so-called tankless water heater, and who service - and to my knowledge also installed - our forced air heating/ventilating and air conditioning system, wanted us to have a problem with the water mixing valve that regulates our supply of hot water dealt with, before they would come to deal with a problem with our hot water supply. We found Strong Plumbing on Homestars (who were recommended to my wife), and emailed the proprietor, Valentin Sasu, from your website. We had his response very soon after and could have had him come the very next morning had it been convenient for us. He asked for photo's of the problem, if possible, which I was able to provide, and he came the following day. A few hours later he had done a fantastic job, and had made a little sense of the pipes going to and from the hot water tank, and had installed an adjustable mixing valve: the existing one seemed to be little better than a clogged T-joint, and wasn't allowing hot water to run through to the house hot water system. I had gone without a hot shower for months, so was able to enjoy my first hot shower in ages from the supply of hot water that had built up, Since then, we've had hot water perhaps 75% of the time, based upon how much is in the tank at any time, and whether or not the boiler had felt inclined to heat any more: which is does very irregularly. I imagine it has a sensor to tell it when to start heating, and the sensor is malfunctioning. We haven't rushed to get the HVAC people in since, as the boiler itself is ancient compared with our house (it was obviously pretty old when first installed), and whilst we are generally happy with the guys who come to fix leaks, etc., in accordance with their employers' requirements of them, we don't think much of the company itself. The first problem was a leak from a small plastic water tank. Instead of replacing the part, the leak was sealed with what looks like red sealing wax. Since then, we've had other leaks, etc., but over the six-and-a-half years we've been here the supply of hot water (which the boiler literature advertises as hot) has gradually dropped until it was down to luke-warm, and often just tepid. One would imagine that a company renting out water heaters would have a plumber available to deal with such problems as malfunctioning mixing valves, since the fact of providing a supply of hot water depends upon this valve.
So, we are now considering finding a better company in the Toronto/Scarborough area, to find a better boiler to rent and a better service experience. Unfortunately, the builders have never been at all helpful concerning who installed what equipment, so we could ask for their assistance, despite that the installers should know more that the person who has never seen our installation.

Valentin provided excellent service at a very reasonable rate. He was punctual. He did an great job explaining the problem and providing a solution right away. I highly recommend this company.

Our waterline to the fridge and dishwasher suddenly decided to break off from our fridge and flooded the kitchen floor in our house. I looked up homestars and after reading the reviews I decided to contact Val. He was super quick and came to our home to fix our problem within 3 hours. He replaced the plastic waterline to the copper waterline. Everything was done neatly with no mess and nothing to clean after. The price is very reasonable too! Would highly recommend to everyone!
