As a college educator I am always interested in supporting outstanding graduates who not only display expertise and skills but who uphold the tenets of good citizenship. A great experience. Steven from citywide came out and explained and quoted the.job. Reasonable pricing. The work was done within a week and the workmen were very polite and did a great and thorough job. I am very impressed so I figured I would write this review as I heard about citywide and Steven from citywide on homestars.

Chris Cavan gave one of three quotes. His was the highest, but the most complete in assessing the problem. Price per foot of excavation was n between the other two. promised a two day job and he delivered. Very impressed with the crew he sent. Very professional, knowledgeable polite and efficient. They protected my neighbors property, cleaned up the site completely after the first day so that there would be no safety on inconvenience issues over the weekend. Completed the job on Monday and left the site very neat & clean. A number of the neighbors came around to comment on their excellent work and safe and considerate work process. I called City Wide Group when I had a huge leak in my basement that was causing mold and just made the whole place smell. The nicest man, Stevan, came and waterproofed the whole place, and did an amazing job! We had it repainted, and its been like a whole new basement since!

I found my basement was wet this summer(we moved in last winter). I called another company to come and estimate, they gave me $3000 quote.

Then we called city wide group, Stephen came and checked the basement and outside wall very carefully, with his years experience and intuition, he kneeled down beside the hydro pipe in the wall and pull all the dirt and debris away, and found a hole three finger size, that's the place the water goes into basement. Stephen then told me how to fix it, what I should buy and where to buy it, so I can fix it by myself.

After I fix it and I called Stephen again to see if he can come to have another check. He came and checked what I've done, and make sure it's good.

I recently hired City Wide in May this year to waterproof the west wall of our house and also install a weeping tile system. After three estimates we weighed the options regarding price and procedures and decided to go with City Wide. The job quote included the removal and re-install of 140sq.ft. of pavers in between the houses which the other two companies would not include in their quote, and one was $ 6,000 more. City Wide was also able to dig down by hand and repair my wall without disrupting the neighbours side which was only three feet away! The other two quotes used machinery and would not consider doing the job unless both walls were exposed and fixed, and I would be responsible for the extra cost! Chris from City Wide was on time, very prompt with his quote, after ten minutes I knew exactly what it would cost us. The crew was very informative and diligent in their work habit. They talked to the neighbours informing them about the impending work. The stone walkway was put back as it was, cleaned, and you would never know anyone had been there. Life time transferable warranty to boot. Thank-you once again!

I wish there was a rating option higher than 10 for this company and their team. We were overwhelmed by the pride this company has in delivering a superior quality product , their integrity and exceptional customer service. Chris was always attentive and quick to respond to our needs from the moment we requested information (before we were clients), to after the crew had finished and our project was completed. I had many questions, mainly regarding foundation safety/protection which Chris always answered honestly and intelligently and in terms I was able to understand. The team was polite, professional and extremely conscientious. The job is quite messy, but there was no mud/damage to our home or our outdoor paths. Our neighbours commented frequently on how respectful the team was with our property and our neighbors'. The finished product is Fab-U-Lous!!! I would hire this team again and again, and would recommend them to everyone. Thank you City Wide for peace of mind and money very well spent!

Citywide did an excellent job. They dug up and waterproofed the full exterior perimeter of our basement. Their quote was on par with a few of the others we had, but none of the others included patching the strip cut out of the driveway or patio or any of the other finish work. The quote was very detailed and they followed through on all of it. Harry did the quote and follow up and was great to deal with. The crew they sent was friendly and professional. The job required a significant amount of bench footing which was done at the agreed upon price per foot. There were a few other add-ons to the job that they did at a very reasonable cost.

Two small things to note. We had asked the crew foreman to make sure we saw each section prior to filling it back in. This worked fine for the first half of the job but was somehow forgotten for the second half. The other thing was they left some materials behind. True to his word Harry had someone come by to pick most of it up, but they still left some items which I ultimately disposed of myself. Neither of these things are enough to knock off a full star.

An excellent job all around and we're very happy with it. I would recommend them to others.

After recieving several quotes from local waterproofing companies, I decided to have my basement underpinned by City Wide Group based on their expertise in the business. My concerns were addressed in a prompt manner and the workers were professional and experienced. At the end of the job, my basement was left clean and dry and I have not had any water leakage since. The City Wide Group exceeded my expectations and I would be happy to reccomend them to anyone!

From beginning to end, Chris and his hard-working crew made us feel like we were getting our money's worth. Underpinning is a huge undertaking and a little nerve-wracking, but Chris was extremely clear in his explanations and made himself available by phone or email whenever we had questions or required clarification. CityWide took care of the engineers and permits for the job. Additionally, the crew were extremely hardworking and efficient. The workers had to hand dig the foundation since machines wouldn't fit through any of the openings to the basement - layers of concrete, dirt, mud and clay were all hand dug. They cleaned up the job site at the end of every day (even the neighbours commented on how respectful they were!). There were a few very minor issues that required some trades coming back to fix some things after the fact (toilet drain and minor driveway damage) and Chris took care of these things immediately and responded to my concerns in a timely manner. These are honest and good people.
With underpinning, you don't want to take any chances on a company that doesn't know the ins and outs of engineering, permits and structural stability. CityWide knows what they're doing, and that's you're paying for (that and exceptional customer service and attention to detail). We've already recommended them to neighbours who are looking to do similar work on their homes.
