We were completing a DIY basement reno and needed a very thin hardwood or laminate to cover the landing on the staircase. After much searching and speaking with employees at various flooring stores, we were resigned to the fact that we would have to go with laminate...which we were not happy about. We took one final trip to Speers Flooring and with the help of a very knowledgeable employee, we got the EXACT hardwood we were looking for. We should have never wasted our time going to other places. The entire staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We also ended up purchasing tile for our bathroom, however, once we laid some of the tile out, we realized it wasn't a good match.
