company has closed their doors

I stored my belongings, mostly furniture, with Keepsafe Mobile Storage since 1999 (14 years). During that time I was charged late fees when I was on time and administration fees that were not valid. In September 2012 they closed their doors without notifying anyone and yet continued to take money out of my Visa account ($500 in charges). In March I had an email finally telling me to contact Darcy @ Repo. My belongings had been taken over by a repossession company. In order to get my things back I would have had to pay another $600 to them. I contacted Gary, the manager at Keepsafe, but he denied any wrongdoing. My things were sold and I have nothing to show for my $15,000 'investment'.
sincerely,
victoria mcinnes

This company takes advantadge of people and are extremelly dishonest

I like to warn everyone not to leave your belongings with Keepsafe Mobile Storage. If you do you will regret it, trust me!! They will create charges that don't exist (even if you pay everything on time) and if you don't pay those charges, they charge a penalty on top. If you don't pay the penalty, they charge interest and compounded fees on top of everything. You end up with this huge bill. And if you try to take your belongings out, good luck! They don't let you take your things out until you pay all their made up fees and penalties. The statements are very difficult to understand. If you try to talk to them, they will not negotiate or explain why the extra fees are being charged to begin with. They are very rude on the phone and they just hang up on you. It's a total nightmare! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Storage hell...

Funny how the rest of us had hellish experiences when yours was so dreamy. Well, perhaps you didn't get the treatment we got because it's not as easy to bully a man than it is the bully single women or students.

This is by far THE worse company I have EVER had the misfortune of having to deal with. I would not ever ever recommend dealing with this company to anyone. They are awful. Whatever you do, DO NOT contact...??

If you value your time, your belongings and your money - Avoid this company AT ALL COST!

Listing all I've had to endure since the day I made the mistake of calling them, would take a few pages, but in a nutshell:

- They are dishonest in their billing practices (adding charges out of nowhere days after the 'contract' is signed)

- They have restrictive 'policies' which can easily be avoided by dealing with pretty much ANY other company out there (2 month minimum, 72hrs notice to access your things AND a $30 fee on top of that, $60 if you do not give 72hrs notice - and this only gives you access for 1hr -- ridiculous)

- Totally disorganized, try anyway they can to get money out of you once they are in possession of your belongings! After I first started having problems with them, I found an online review from a past customer that was pretty much a summary of my own issues.

- Most horrible customer service: they will simply ignore you, ignore your questions, or actually hang up on you when you are trying to get some explanations about the charges on your bill!

- Not only did they charged my credit card for an amount I did not authorize (I authorized a specific amount and they disregarded completely), they denied ever charging anything saying the transaction was declined and as a result, charging me a 'fee'

- only they did charge my credit card, it did show up on my statement, and I did provide a copy of this statement. They refused to acknowledge this, or to even look into the issue. Ignore, ignore, and ignore.

And of course, they began adding 'late payment' fees & other frivolous fees at an abusive frequency.

After it became clear that my questions would not be answered, and that in fact none of my emails were returned, I filed a complaint with the BC Better Business Bureau. Keepsafe ignored the complaint and emails from the BBB representative. It is all documented, look it up and save yourself some major trouble!

Buyer Beware - Avoid at all cost.

mobile storage of household goods

I read the previous reviews and my experience could not be more different! My experience with Keepsafe was great!

I called them up for a 3 month storage job and they showed up on time and all of the charges were exactly as they initially quoted me when I made the appointment. I did review the contract quite carefully which is a habit I try and stick to in instances such as these.

They stuck to there alloted time for me to load my stuff quite firmly (another hour would have been nice to have) but in fairness, I did under-estimate the time need on my side.

So, overall my experience was very good and I will probably be using them again in the near future.

Mobile Storage

I had a similar experience as Heather with Keepsafe Mobile Storage misrepresenting their costs and dealing with a rude response. When I called them on it, they refused to deliver my goods because the contract says they can refuse service to "argumentative customers." So, I had to hire movers to clean out the container which turned out to be infested with rodents. I found my furniture chewed, and covered in feces and urine. I later found the diseased and dirty, rodent infested couch listed on Craiglist for $600. SICK.

Mobile Storage

I needed to store items from my garage for 6 months. Phoned Keepsafe and was told it would be 69.00 per/mo. plus tax. When I was presented with the bill it lists the 69.00 per mo. and then there is a 75.00 move-in charge& a 75.00 move out charge & a 30.00 loading charge& a 15.00 waiting time charge. I was also charged later with a 45.00 charge for what I don't know and then another 69.00 for not giving 30 days written notice to get my stuff back, when the initial contract said 6 months. And then my final invoice which I requested via fax had also charged me 7 months instead of six. The man who came is exceptionally rude. I ended up paying almost 810.00 for 6 months storage.
