Jastek Master Builder

The house was constructed well and it turned out to be a beautiful home. Paid for upgrades and the details were went over carefully and correctly. The warranty was under new home warranty and the items were corrected in the first year and staff was pleasant too.
I would recommend a purchase .

Worst experience as a first time homebuyer, after three years fighting with jasteks warranty service major issues left to be resolved; frost in attic, truss uplift causing the drywall to crack at seams every winter. Doors do not seal causing frost to form in jams and causing damage. only 5 inches insulation in attic, fire break between units not sealed properly causing odors from surrounding units into my unit. This is a fire issue more than an odor issue. Deck surface peels and bubbles shingles blow off roof every wind storm, concrete pathways heaving. And many more issues!! Jastek is refusing to honor their home warranty. Look out. Think twice before buying a Jastek build. This is not what I paid for.

Please RUN AWAY from Jastek. If you are wondering why there hasn't been a lot of recent negative reviews (and hoping that they have improved), you are WRONG!they just changed their business model and started buying positive reviews from their home buyers!

I have had nothing but problems with my Jastek townhouse. Everyone else that I have spoken to in my complex and other similar complexes have advised me of the same.

Please do yourself a favour and ask consult an INDEPENDENT real estate agent before purchasing a Jastek home. They will confirm Jastek's poor reputation in Saskatchewan and the sad quality of their builds. I wish that I would have done the same before I bought mine.

Also, do some looking around on the internet and read reviews. Word is finally starting to get out. Hopefully this will cause Jastek to either change it's awful business practices or go out of business.

The quality of the product is mediocre.
The handy work and the level is horrible.
The pricing is acceptable.
The amount of amentities added is reasonable.

Overall, not a failing grade, but I would not be racing back to have another house build with them.
