Windows replacement

This was the most horrible experience I encountered with Windows sales and installation company ever. I was left with damaged walls (interior and exterior)and water problems(went all the way in the basement). I ended up filing a complaint with BBB. My phone calls were not returned and through intervention from BBB, finally when James and Niraj did call, they would contradict each other for not returning my phone calls. Twice I took a day off from work on the schedule days and they did not come for the repairs. I waited about a year to solve this problem and eventually BBB recommend arbitration. Artibration process was not guranteed any time sooner and slight moulding was noticable in the basement drywall due to the water sipping in from the window. I was left with no choice but to hire another company for the repairs of the windows, repair for the water damage between walls and basement. If I had waited few more months, the mould would have spreaded from the basement to higher up. Added cost due to the repairs was $4,8000. James is a smooth taker. He will try to sell you with his sales pitch of customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Approximate cost of services:
$9,800.00

Company Response

1. Customer originally paid by credit card, two separate slips were mailed (standard post) Both were signed and mailed back. This process took about 1-2 weeks.

2. There was never any mention of water damage in any original BBB postings etc...in fact this whole dispute started over a bay window ROOF being capped that was never part of the original deal, which is why Tina was happy to sign her credit card slips.

3. The pictures attached by Tina shows the top of a wood casing with some minor drywall damage from the installation of a new window and casings. We were happy to come back and patch the small amount of drywall.

4. Tina demanded that we give her a service time guaranteed in writing with penalty. The problem was we originally were going to get appoximately $175-$225(later after threats we agreed not to charge) for the capping of roof. We did not want to do this as it is not a good idea in general to cap steel with aluminum also it takes minimum half a day. Our installer agreed to do it, but we had trouble booking around Tina and the installer's schedule. In the end after many personal insults and frivolous BBB complaints we decided to say goodbye to Tina.

5. We were definitely responsible for the minor drywall damage, but there was no interior/exterior water damage (this is the first I've heard of it), and frankly the customer started insulting the company and we had had enough. There was no court case, and I'm sure that the water damage story is mostly just an attempt to damage our reputation.

6. The other pictures appear to show normal window condensation, and quite frankly water cannot leak through the top of a window casing due to gravity. All Brick to Brick jobs are caulked around entire brickmoulds either way.

7. I'm proud of this 0/10 rating as it shows the hardship that will inevitably happen after installing thousands of jobs. This is the price of growing as a company.

8. We would have done all that Tina wanted without charge, but after numerous personal insults we were fed up. Tina is also our only BBB complaint and coincidentally our only 0/10.
