I had a very negative experience with Neptune.
I needed a barbeque natural gas line moved ~36 away from the existing line connection. I contacted Neptune and scheduled a gasfitter to come do the work. I was told there would be an 82$ service fee to come out to location and that the gasfitter would provide a quote at site after initial inspection. I was also told that their trucks are outfitted with all tools/supplies needed to perform a simple task like this.
Later that week an employee of Neptune came to my house for the quote and install. At this time I was told the connection material was Gastite and that due to this being an uncommon material they did not have the tools required in the truck, however they would go back and put together a quote and I could then reschedule them. They insisted on charging me the 82$ service fee however. I paid the fee.
Upon receiving the quote I learned that it was over $1,000. I did not reschedule them as I suspected that cost to be overly high. To confirm this, I contacted another gasfitting company that was highly rated on Homestars. After we described our request, This company gave a quote over the phone of approximately 240$ and came to my house the next day, they reconfirmed that the job was quoted accurately it should take ~1-2hrs. The gasfitter performed the work well and within the timeframe, and the next day I was invoiced for the same amount as the initial phone quote.
My experience leads me to believe that Neptune either lacked the capability or willingness to perform this task. Their decision to charge an $82 service fee for a brief inspection, followed by a quote over four times higher than a reputable competitor's estimate, has resulted in me leaving this review of my disappointing experience.

Neptune offers an insurance plan whereby they come out to do a yearly maintenance check of the plumbing in the house, hotwater tank and furnace. They will remind you by calling to make an appointment. I had Logan here who did a thorough inspection , explained everything in detail, answered all my concerns politely, and did not rush the job. The office receptionists are very helpful too and even called him back at my request to give me advice about an appliance. Ive been with Neptune for many years and they do not disappoint.

I was informed I was going to need a was seal replaced on my toilet. I searched for some time to find a reasonable, reliable plumber to do this small job. A few of the places I called didn't seem like the job fit their criteria of a job worthy of their time. When I called Neptune they responded very quickly. Even though they were busy they were able to schedule an appointment for me. Logan was the professional who came. He was very good at doing what needed to be done. He even did a little extra to ensure I had no future problems. I would recommend this company for future work

Logan was great. Arrived on time and stuck with a tricky job in an awkward location until successfully completed. The price was about what I expected for the job. My tenant was happy to have his kitchen water back in use.

Logan was professional and upfront with what was needed and addressed all my concerns. Before leaving he even asked if there was anything else he could look at for me so we did look at a couple of things and was even able to give me an approximate cost should I wish the service. He also gave me some options to think about. He was very helpful.

Had Neptune plumbing over to install a new Navien Tankless water heater and Moen water shutoff valve in my home.

Feel totally ripped off. For less than 2.5 hrs of work we paid $500. We supplied the parts. I didn't know plumbers earn near $250 per hr. Would not recommend. Way too expensive!!! Found them in the strathcona gazette.

Scott came and cleared my kitchen drain and bathroom drain. He did an excellent job. He is an amicable young man and easynto discuss things with. I am very happy with his services.

Neptune Service employee is very knowledgeable in his field. Very neat, clean and tidy. Offered up some very good information and notified us of potential issues in the future as well as solutions if something does breakdown. Provided some estimates to help make an informed decision in the event of a breakdown.
