Called them to service a unit they installed

Air was still under warranty but he said it was our fault so would not be covered apparently because we had not had unit serviced yearly. He had to come back when we couldn't be there and bad mouthed us to our tenants and even neighbours heard. Said the fault was our electrician and we had hired Mikey mouse no licensed person to do electrical where in fact it was a master electrician who did work in house and had not touched the air unit. He went so far as to say to tenant that we would be paying get through the nose! He said he had to put in like 3 lbs of gas in the unit and our electrician had screwed up our panel and he had to cut wires and plug in the air unit in a regular wall unit and told tenants not to do laundry. Called our electrician who came next day panel tested fine he hooked up unit with no issues. I had had plans of having other work done as in upgrading hot from electric to gas but won't be using Ontario Home Care. Even when we met him at the initial visit that day before he came back to do work he was very unprofessional and the "f" word was about every other word out of his mouth. I had paid him immediately be credit card when he phoned me (before I knew ew about the bad mouthing he did) with him saying he would mail the bill the next day. I had to make several contacts with him before finally getting bill and there is no breakdown of what he did or hours spent. Will not be using him again

Ontario Home Care - Replacement Heating, Air Conditioning and Hot Water Tank

I decided to use ONTARIO HOME CARE to replace my furnace, AC and Hot water tank because they were recommended to me by a friend and their price was reasonable.
The initial meeting was good. Stuart said that he does all the installs with his crew and said that I could pay with my credit card (since I was unemployed at the time and would be starting back at work in a month).
We had set up a date for the installation but no one showed up. I called them to find out that the AC unit was damaged and they would have to reschedule. 2 weeks later the install happened but Stuart was not the one doing the install and I wasn't able to pay with my credit card.
After they had left I noticed that the AC unit they had installed was not what I had ordered. I called and they were able to replace it 2 weeks later. They just showed up and wanted access into the house. I was on my way to work and was unable to give them access inside the home. I had asked Stuart not to use the side gate because it was damaged. When I returned from work - the bottom post attached to the gate had a huge chunk snapped off.
This all started March 5, 2013 and Its now May 31st, 2013 and I'm waiting for the AC to be finished. The payment was processed months ago yet the service is not complete.
I would NOT recommend this company. I tried to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but this company is not registered with them.

Furnace tune up

The home furnace required a tune-up before the Winter heating season. We called this company and set up an appointment for the next week. The quoted price was very reasonable. The repair guy was 20 minutes late, however, he was very polite and apololgized. He was friendly and identified himself at the door. Oddly he asked to use our washroom. When he walked downstairs he did not remove or cover his boots and left wet marks on the carpeted stairs. After this was pointed out to him, he brought in a long carpet and covered the stairs. The guy was very efficient though and tested everything in the furnace for safety. He seemed to know what he was doing and had a lot of tools. Compressed air was used for cleaning (instead of a vacuum) and there was a lot of dust/grime to clean up after he left. He left us a safety report on the status of the furnace. No repairs were needed and overall I am satisfied with the service.
