Centennial Moving

Confirming as reported in many other reviews- charged for much more than true weight, offered fake scale receipt, upon pressing for a real receipt they said I can schedule my own weighing and then they'll pay the difference.

Take from this what you will. They will reply to this review telling you that everything was fine and I didn't have any complaints, that's because they had all my things and once I realized this was their business model I did not trust my goods to arrive safe and sound if I pushed them too far.

Fair is fair- the movers were pretty good. It's just the higher ups you need to worry about. I'd say get everything in writing, but they didn't honour that so I'd just go with a company without tons of bad reviews saying the same thing.

Yes indeed my move went better than expected. May I say firstly the movers made lightwork of my 2 bed apartments worth of inventory and I had quite a lot of stuff including my office and my mini-gym. All equipment and furniture including a heavy treadmill and bulky desk were in mint condition at arrival in Edmonton.. The pick up was on time and when they arrived for delivery they gave me their ETA window. My overall experience with Centennial was a well worked long distance move. Thanks will remember you for the future.

Just finished today with the packing and loading of our household goods. Moving from BC to Brampton ON. Wanted to let all know that the Centennial crew were excellent. They really have everything you would hope for in a move. Proficient (hard working) movers throughout the packing and loading. Careful, with no incidents. Pleasant and professional throughout the process. We have used other companies over the past 35 years on a number of long-distance and local moves. This Centennial crew are as good as any we have run into over the years. So looking forward to receiving my load in 10 days time, I feel safe knowing that the same excellence will be on display there.

Moving process was smooth and best. It was hassle free and stress free. It took 3 weeks for us to receive our stuff in Calgary from Ontario.

Centennial moved us long-distance from Saskatoon to Toronto and moved our apartment plus our storage unit contents. Everything was very organized and everything arrived in Toronto in perfect order. The staff was professional and very helpful! I would use them again anytime! Moving is difficult and they made it easy for us. Thanks to Centennial Moving for such a great moving experience!!!

They were terrific, no exceptions. From the receipt of the professional quote, liaison prior to the move date, the two days they were with us, from packing and unloading, they were a pleasure to have around. Prompt, professional, reliable and clearly very experienced, not a single item was damaged in our move. The whole team was friendly and cheery, and we enjoyed our moving process. Thank you!

I dont normally leave reviews, but I thought it would be important to do so in this case since it is difficult to know which companies are reputable based on just an online search.

I relocated from Toronto to Vancouver this past summer. I had no previous experience with cross-country moving companies, so I did an online search and read through many reviews before settling on Centennial Moving. I read many horror stories about companies overcharging customers, holding their items hostage, and damaging their things. Centennials reviews seemed pretty good so I decided to give them a shot.

Overall, I had a really positive experience with my move. There were no surprises, extra costs or dishonest practices. However, it is important to note that this is a consolidated moving company. This means that your items will be loaded onto a large truck with other peoples things, and you wont know the drop off date for your items in advance. The company made this clear from the beginning and while they will give you a rough estimate of how long it could take, it wont be guaranteed.

The moving coordinator I dealt with gave me detailed information upfront, was communicative and answered all of my questions.

The initial quote I received was significantly lower than quotes from other well-known companies. I had to provide a list of inventory items to receive a quote. There didnt seem to be a limit on the amount of times I could update my inventory list and receive a new quote. They even prompted me to do a final inventory check the week before my move. Im assuming this was to plan for adequate space on the truck. Once my things were loaded onto the truck and reached the warehouse, I received an email with my final weight and balance due. The final cost was actually less than I was quoted! I also had until the day of my trucks arrival at the delivery site to pay the balance.

Although I didnt know when my items would arrive at my new home, the company did allow me to schedule a pickup date by putting down a $150 deposit. This seemed reasonable to me. They told me the exact time window would be confirmed 1-2 days before the pickup date, but it was actually confirmed about four days in advance. Same with delivery I received an email on a Thursday saying my items would be delivered the following Tuesday.

I do have to say that it took quite some time for my shipment to be delivered. It took about four and a half weeks in total. This includes two and a half weeks where my items were still being stored in the Toronto warehouse before leaving for Vancouver. I wish the company would have told me in advance that my items were to stay in Toronto for that long after they had been picked up. Since I didnt know this, I almost immediately got on a flight to Vancouver so I could be ready to receive delivery when the movers arrived which I was told could be anywhere from two to five weeks. If I had known they wouldnt hit the road for a couple weeks, I would have stayed in Toronto with family for longer rather than sleeping on an air mattress and eating off paper plates in my new home!

My one negative thing to say is that when the movers arrived with my things in Vancouver, they tried to leave without reassembling my bed. I had to specifically tell them that the company said they would assemble it. Other than that, my items all arrived in perfect condition with no dents or issues at all.

All in all, I would recommend using this company based on my experience alone. I hope others had a good experience as well, and hopefully this review will help people avoid getting taken advantage of by the sketchy companies out there!

All my items arrived on time and everything is i damaged and just as the way when they picked it up.

My stuff were treated so well and with care ! Some of the furniture were not easy to move and load in a truck, but guys done it ! I am amazed at their speed and happy that such a long trip did not create problems and all items arrived safely to my new house !! Very useful experience! Thank you

Very good it was a long move 3 bedroom home 2600 miles. Xavier was on top of it. He was very up front with the cost. I would use him again. The driver got there to load when he said he would. The crew that loaded us were fantastic, fast and professional it was raining they did their best to wipe feet & dollies before coming in the house. Loaded truck in 4 hours on Wednesday. Trey called 2 days out for a heads up for delivery on Thursday just 8 days after loading (very fast) Delivery & the unloading was on time with just as much professional conduct. We are happy with the service I would recommend Centennial Moving.
