I’ve learned over the years that ‘word of mouth’ is the best way to find the best products or services. What has been the experience of another? What lessons have they learned and what can I learn from them? ‘Word of Mouth’ is how I came to using Verdun and I’m writing this piece as a way of passing along the message.
Canada is a wonderful country where we enjoy all four seasons but we don’t necessarily want to experience those extremes within our homes. Last year we purchased a home that was originally built in 1994. Although the house is certainly not a heritage home, it is definitely not, by any standard, a new home and, with time, all houses need to be refreshed. It’s a given that there have been technological improvements made that ensure better protection against loss of heat in winter and ways to keep out the cold. Likewise, the protection can work in the opposite way in the summer. Our house was well built but it was time for new doors and windows.
We did our homework and carefully studied the options available to us and decided upon Verdun for our home. Being prudent shoppers, we had contacted three well recommended companies for comparison. All three companies sent competent representatives who showed their products and provided price estimates. There are a number of reasons why we chose Verdun. The quality of the products was exemplary and the price competitive. The service provided by those that did the work from the sales representatives, to the person who came to do the measurements, to the representatives who set up the appointments and those who finally did the installations, was professional and courteous. An added bonus in our opinion was that the work is all done locally. We couldn’t have asked for anything better.
We’ve received a number of compliments from our neighbours and friends, particularly for our new front door. One of our neighbours liked our front door so much that they purchased the same style for themselves! ‘Word of mouth’ can be relied on. Those who read this can rely on Verdun to provide them with the product or service they might need for their home.

I had 2 large windows and a patio door installed in mid January. The sales team answered all of my concerns very promptly and professionally. I was dreading a winter installation: how long it would take and how cold the house would be. The installation team was amazing: they were experienced, did a very thorough job and all work was completed as promised in less than 6 hours. A minor trim piece was defective and the crew returned very promptly to complete the job. Would recommend them for future work .

I used Verdun to install a new window in my basement as part of renovation project.

In the past, I have used them to replace all the windows and the patio door in my house. This work included adding a new window in my garage and expanding the kitchen window to a bow window.

On both occasions they did the work promptly and professionally, and provided superb after sales service where minor adjustments were needed.

Very professional from getting quotes to having the work done. Everything was done when promised and very little disruption to our home the day they were installed. We noticed a paint chip on our front door at the end of the day, but with a call to the main office it was touched up and not noticeable within a week.

Replaced 3 large casement windows and a 5 panel bay window. From the quote to installation everything went perfectly. Verdun had taken over another company I had dealt with and they honored the warranty on our previously installed front door. A week after the install I noticed a flaw in the glass on one panel, I called and within a few days another panel was installed and an adjustment made to my front door. Excellent service and I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to others. Thank you for a job well done.

Replaced all windows on main floor 2 years ago. We were so impressed that we replaced all the basement windows this year. The windows are huge and they were replaced in February in 30 degrees below zero weather. The men were freezing but never complained and did a fantastic job. I can't say enough about the service and the product. I highly recommend Verdun.
