I am extremely happy with the work done by J Stewart Roofing. John came to my house to discuss options and submitted a quote the next day. The team that performed the work was very professional and conscientious. They protected the property from any damage from falling debris and they cleaned up so well after that I couldn't tell that they were here at all. They also coordinated seamlessly with a skylight installation that was being done at the same time by Skylights Unlimited. The roofing work was expected to take 2 days, but they found issues on my roof that added 2 more days to the job. John didn't raise the price, and when I asked him about that, he replied "that's ok, the work is complete and I'm glad you're happy with the results". My neighbour was impressed, and contacted them to work on her roof.

We decided to remove three large ice dams from our roof after the last big snow/ice storm. We were concerned about water leaking into the house and so had a very transparent and informative conversation with the owner John. He talked us through his honest risk assessment and sent over a team the following day. They were fast, respectful and thorough (from what we could see) and we have had no issues with water leaks since. It was a big relief to have the roof clear when it started to snow again a few days later. Highly recommend this company!

John and his company are professional, competent and reliable. This was a more complex job than usual as the roof had 2 layers of shingles and the 3 dormers had 4 layers of roofing on the base of them. The project took 5 days and each day the team did excellent clean up. John spoke with us every day about what they were working on and what the next steps were. They are perfectionists and did an excellent job. They finished the work on our house before they moved to their next project. I highly recommend them if you want a top notch job!

Highly recommend. John was great at explaining what work needed to be done and gave us the best of three quotes on the repair. The repair was done quickly and professionally and we are very happy with both the customer service and quality of work.

I am terrified of heights & would never go on the roof. But when I saw my shingles looking like the edge of lasagna noodles from the ground, even I knew that can’t be good. I called for three quotes and John was the second, after meeting him I cancelled the third. He explained how shingles have changed and improved since I last did my roof 16 years showed me samples of the materials and explained what he would do. Went on the roof, took photos, and walked me through the whole process. I got the quote that night or the next day. I signed it back right away.
His team showed up @7:30 just before they said they would and got to work right away. The didn’t stop except for a short lunch break. They were super polite and cleaned up after themselves. If you are super procrastinator like me, just call him.

We needed our roof to be reshingled and to replace our skylight, gutters and add gutter guards. John was recommended to us by our neighbours who had used this company for over 15 years. John came to our house to do an assessment, answer any questions and give us an estimate. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. The day of the job, four workers showed up on time and did a great job replacing and fixing everything on our list. John even stopped by a couple times to see how the day was going. The day after the job was done, John came back to our house to give us a breakdown of the job and to answer any final questions we had. We would highly recommend them!.

The roof looks fantastic! We're very happy with the work, and John's crew was great - we couldn't believe how well they tidied up at the end of each day. They even brought out a leaf blower and blew all the leaves off our long mutual driveway. The shingles they used are much better quality than some of the other companies we got quotes from, and only for a minimal upcharge. Worth it!

Responsive to needs. Offers advice and makes recommendations. Listens to customer requirements. Have had work done by this company for many years. Work is excellent! Very pleased with owner, crew, and sub-contractors. All work done on time and on quote. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent, local, family-owned business. From start to finish the crew and owner were prompt, friendly, hard-working and diligent. We had our entire roof replaced (sloping shingle and flat roof). The quality of the work was excellent and we were provided photos of the stages of the work and the finished product. In addition, the final invoice matched the original estimate, thus no surprises. The owner worked with us all the way and always responded to Emails. Payment methods are also flexible. Last night we had a terrific thunderstorm and downpour - result: no leaks or dripping onto the porch or deck or drips running down the side walls. Without any reservation we endorse and recommend this thoroughly professional company.

We were very happy with the roof replacement that the J Stewart Roofing team performed and would highly recommend his services. John responded to our emails and calls in a timely manner, and even helped in coordinating directly with our neighbours (semi-detached) to have the entire roof replaced at the same time. He came by each day in person that the job was being done to personally check on the work. Dan was also very patient and helpful in answering all our questions. The crew was respectful of our property and neighbours' property, laying down tarp to protect decks and doing a thorough clean-up each day. We were provided with in-progress and final photos after the job as well. The new roof looks fantastic and we now have peace of mind knowing that our home is well protected.
