Recently J. Stewart Roofing replaced my flat roof.
John initially reviewed the roof and provided a clear explanation of what had to be done and provided an itemized quote.
During the work, John provided updates on the work and photos of the progress. Seeing the photos allowed me to appreciate the scope of the work and see their quality workmanship.
I am very happy with the work and highly recommend J. Stewart Roofing for similar projects.

What a pleasure to have such great people do such great work. The initial quoting was clear and transparent about potential hidden costs (that never came up.) The team worked efficiently and took good care of our property. They shared photographs of their progress and were happy to answer any and all questions. Compared to other quotes this was a very reasonable price for a flat roof replacement on a semi detached home. I whole heartedly recommend J Stewart Roofing to everyone.

The roof work was quickly accomplished, on time, and on budget given what was known. No surprises, which I appreciated. My neighbour is an unhinged and fearful individual, so they freaked out, as they always do, because scary snow fell from the roof on their porch during the process, but other than that it was very smooth. :)

In 2019 we engaged J Stewart Roofing to reshingle our angled roof. We were so satisfied with the team's work (and received complements on the quality of the roof from other contractors) that we, along with our neighbours engaged them to do our shared flat roof (work completed in November 2022).

J Stewart Roofing's team are friendly, professional, and took the time to explain all parts of the quote, and answer as many questions as we had prior to and during the project. We felt they were always honest and never misleading.

If we had another roof to reshingle we would engage J Stewart Roofing again. Highly recommended trustworthy contractor.

We shopped around earlier in the year to find someone who could manage replacing our roof, which had been at the end of its life. We chose J Stewart because of the detailed advice they provided about what would be required to properly insulate and level our back roof, which was a concern.

The crew were friendly, professional and thoughtful, and worked very hard during a really hot week in the summer. They were respectful of our home and the grounds, and were (unexpectedly) minimally disruptive as we were both working from home with videoconferences at the time.

When the job was done, they walked us through it to ensure we were satisfied, and answered any questions we have. We feel confident that the roof is solid and will last for many years, and in particular, will lessen our energy costs going forward.

John and his crew did terrific work - came when they said they would, finished in three days, knew what they were doing, left the yard spotless. Highly recommend.

I own a small, old, annoying house in Riverdale on a street with almost no parking. I was recommended to this company by a neighbour. John and his team are familiar with the neighbourhood and well prepared for challenges of working in the cramped spaces and with old houses. John is an excellent communicator and was clear about every step. He provided photos of the job in progress and answered the questions I had. Roofing is loud messy work but his crew left the area clean and the neighbours didnt complain. I am happy I chose this company.

Competitive price, excellent service, very good communication throughout and no surprises. I highly recommended John and his team.

John identified the source of a leak as the flashing around our chimney and plumbing stacks. Since the shingles also needed to be replaced, we opted to have the entire slope reshingled. They also removed the chimney stack, since it was not being used and was in poor shape, and installed three new vents. They were reasonable priced, pleasant to deal with, and left everything tidy after they were done.

I must say what a pleasure it is dealing with John as a contractor.
His team 5 years ago was cheerful and responsible in redoing the shingles on our roofs.
This week he went really went the extra mile popping by and dealing with my clogged downspout (even gave me a mini lesson on how to cope in the future without needing help). So glad someone recommended him to me , now I'm paying that forward for anyone seeking a great service company.
