We would like to acknowledge and thank Keith, Director of Operations at Royal Home Improvements. Subsequent to the completion of a pretty, significant condo renovation 1-1/2-years ago, there were a few ongoing issues that presented early after construction contract completion. Upon contacting Royal Home Improvements, we were able to speak with Keith who listened intently to our concerns re post reno issues and offered to come out to our condo and see first hand the issues that we were discussing with him re kitchen sink pipe installation weakness and flooring uplift at the entrance to one of the bedrooms. Within a couple of weeks Keith scheduled his licensed plumber and flooring subcontractor to make the needed repairs. Keith also came by our condo to check in and brought a replacement bathroom faucet (original must have had a faulty cartridge as we experienced a slow, water leak from the onset of the original reno installation). Overall, we were pleased with the renovations, including the quality of the construction craftsmanship. Keith is an excellent representation of the built in integrity that Royal Home Improvements displays re caring, compassionate, great communication skills and also follow-up re after-service care. We began our journey with Royal in May 2022, and did not part ways until May 2023. Everything seemed to take more time than they had promised, and the level of workmanship was quite poor. Some work needed to be ripped out and replaced. They were not professional, and work was only completed to adequate standards after we threatened a lawsuit. We can already see wear and tear in the products that were used. It was a very disheartening experience, which has made us weary of any further renovations.

We had consultations with three other renovators, but when my friend told me about her experience with Royal Home Improvements, I knew I had to schedule a meeting with them too.

My daughter and I met with the Consultant and from the first meeting we noticed something very different. He listened intently while I explained a complete renovation to 2 washrooms (with renos to make one even bigger). He made notes and offered really good solutions.. he really seemed to care about working on this project. After he left, we knew we had found the right company to do the renovations and after reading the reviews we were confident Royal Home Improvements would provide quality results. We knew they would deliver.

The main contractor was an absolute pleasure to deal with. At the end of each day, after cleaning up both rooms he would take me around to show me what was done and also what was going to be done the next day. The main contractor and his team worked quietly and consistently throughout the project. He was meticulous and I am grateful for his keen eye for design, finishes and materials.

Everything happened the way the consultant said it would. The work began on February 14th and by the 25th only the glass shower enclosures still needed to be inserted. By March 12th everything was pretty much done including an inspection from the project manager.

I would recommend Royal Home Improvements to anyone who wants to deal with an honest and professional company who will provide timely, professional, and quality results. Both washrooms have turned out beautifully!!

Work was done done well and in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely consider them for future projects.

Overall, the bathroom renovation work, completed in 2015, appears well done. However, the grout used for the tiles over the bathtub has cracked in a number of areas, in less than five years after work completion. Grout, unless applied incorrectly and/or of poor quality, should last at least a dozen years before it may require replacement. RHI will not warrantee the completed work as it was done more than 5 years ago (2015). As per the info received from RHI, their warrantee only covers 5 years for structural work and 2 years for cosmetic. To me this indicates little trust in their own workmanship. Therefore, I do not recommend this company.

Royal Home Improvements did a wonderful job in renovating our basement. The workmanship was of high quality and on schedule while in the middle of a pandemic.

From the beginning, Paul walked us through the process, outlining the work needed and costing while monitoring its progress throughout the project. George and his crew did an outstanding job in the day to day installation during each phase of the renovation.

Our bathrooms (2) look absolutely amazing. The work done by Royal Home Improvements was professional and efficent. From Paul getting the project underway, Igli always available for consultation and the fantastic job that John and his team did in putting the whole thing together. It took them just under 2 weeks and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.

When we had a major structural issue with our home which involved our kitchen, we called Royal Home Improvents. The owner, Paul came and looked at the job. He prepared a quote while sitting in our home. Paul also told us that a structural engineer would be needed and that anything else found would need to be quoted on at that time. Paul was very professional and helpful. Once Paul and the engineer returned, Paul gave us a revised all inclusive quote, again while sitting in our home, with nothing else to be added at a later date. He also explained that because we were members of CARP he would not charge any GST. Paul also ensured that the job would be started immediately, and the workmen would continue until the job was complete, not leaving to go to other jobs.

Throughout the contract, which lasted exactly one month, Paul was always there to assist us with problems. He was available at any time on his cell phone or through the office if it was not urgent. Whenever we called, Paul very quickly stepped in and got the problems solved.

Dealing with Royal Home Improvements was easy and painless, and they lived up to their promise of adhering to the quote, not asking for any extras.

The job was completed on time and the finished project was as promised.

We have no problems in reccomending Royal Home Improvemts as a safe, reliable, honest and customer focused company.

The quality of the finishing work was very poor in all respects, from gouges in the finished trim because pliers were used rather than a strap wrench, to gaps at every corner in the baseboard, caulking at shower and bath trim over the tiles and trim, some of the trim loose and not attached properly, even different grout used on sections of tile. Drawings were ignored except when pricing. Who knows how well the hidden work was done. Unfortunately, it was not just the construction (George) that was bad but also the management (Lawrence) who showed no interest or concern over the quality of the workmanship or the damaged fittings. It is not pleasant to write this because a decade ago Royal did a major renovation which was more than ten times bigger and more costly than this project and it was exceptionally well done. Based on my experience a decade ago I recommended Royal to many people. Based on this latest project I would not recommend Royal to anyone.

We hired Royal Home improvements to complete a main floor renovation in our bungalow to allow us to age in place. We moved the bathroom into a small bedroom and expanded the kitchen into that space.. We replace to carpeting and hardwood flooring with luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the entire space. We also had Royal paint all the rooms as well. Royal brought in subcontractors for kitchen cabinet design and installation as well as plumbers, electricians and tiling. Some of these subcontractors introduced us to other subcontractors that they have used for counter tops and glass enclosed shower stalls. All of the trades were very skilled and treated our home like it was their own. All of this was done during a pandemic.
I would not hesitate to recommend Royal Home Improvements to anyone thinking about a renovation
