The Sealant They apply Does not work
Beware! We retained Marble Clinic to polish the 5 year old marble on our kitchen island and a counter. The island had recently acquired a few etch marks from acidic liquids (alcohol, lime juice etc.) because the original sealer was wearing off. We got several quotes and Marble Clinic was the highest, at $1000. We agreed to it because we were told that they would diamond grind off the surface and polish it up and then coat it with a penetrating sealant to protect it. The grinding and the polishing was done very well. We followed the instruction not to use the counter for 24 hours. We also followed the instruction to wash only with a damp cloth and to dry it immediately. However, after only 1 week of regular use, the counter had new etch marks from very brief contact with lime juice. When we brought this to the attention of Marble Clinic, we were told that marble is a porous surface and subject to etching by acidic liquids. We replied that we this was precisely why we hired them to apply a protective coating to the marble, and it was obviously not working. They then tried to sell us another product to apply ourselves! If their other product actually worked (which we doubt), we wonder why they didnt offer to sell us this product at the outset instead of the pointless $1000 grinding and recoating process!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that the outcome did not meet your expectations. We've built our business by providing high-quality service for our clients and take feedback very seriously.
Stone sealant is not a coating and does not change the nature of stone, having gone through all of our communications there is no mention of you requesting a coating which would have prompted a more in depth conversation about the penetrating sealant detailed. Impregnating sealant is the recommended product for interior stone maintenance, your feedback has been discussed with our staff to improve communication and ensure expectations are clear.
We do not offer any service covering natural stone with expensive topical products that diminish the luminescence of your investment as they tend to scratch very easily and often peel up, our clientele prefer the look of regular wear and tear .Apologies for the misunderstanding, we are having a small care kit delivered to you by the end of this month.
