Ottoman

My husband and I had been searching for this particular ottoman at a decent price. We were thrilled to find the ottoman with Sterling House Interiors. Unfortunately our experience was far from pleasant. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks for the ottoman to be in warehouse. We didn't mind the wait. But when I called to check the status of our order at 6 weeks, I was surprised to hear that it wasn't in warehouse...and they also had a number missing in my cellphone number. I would call every few days to check, and would be promised that they would call me back...and not. Finally I was told it was in warehouse and that someone would contact me for delivery time. No one did. Than I call back, arrange a time for shipping. But no one shows up! Not even a call to let us know they will not be coming. After all of this, I leave my husband to deal with this situation. He is than told by someone at the store that "they assumed the order came in, but was actually not shipped." Was promised someone would call him back on Monday to let him know. Meanwhile, at the same time he is on the phone with someone at the store, someone from head office calls to confirm our ottoman is in and ready for delivery. We did not get back to head office within the day since we were busy. But unexpectedly at 10pm on a Tuesday night, our ottoman is delivered. How disorganized can this company be? All of this mess over a $600 ottoman? On top of this, we received the worst customer service. Had we not wanted this particular ottoman so badly, we would have given up a long time ago and cancelled the order. I would only recommend Sterling House Interiors if there is a particular piece of furniture you want badly enough. Also if you have the time and patience to hunt down your furniture for weeks on end.

Hi Rachel, I was the one who made the error in scheduling you on Friday. My sincerest apologies as I mistakenly thought your bench was in but it was different bench for another client. We really do try to make everyone happy and you and your husband were both very nice and understanding people and I am terribly sorry that you had to go through this.
