Have wanted to replace to lousy asphalt job done by our builders sub-contractor for years, finally made the move this year. I researched several companies in the area and got quotes from 4 contractors, all came in about between $8000 - $10000 for approximately 800 square feet. I decided after much discussion that we would go with Solo Crete as I had seen a number of places in our area that they had done and was impressed with the quality of work they had done.

I must say I was very impressed with the professionalism of the company from my first phone call. John came by when he said he would and assessed our property offered some tips and advice on how we should go about it and the time line it would take. All the crews that came to our home to do the work were very professional and got right to work doing their portion of the job. Work was done in a timely manner and they left the job site clean and advised us when the next crew would be in to do their portion.

The final pour was on the 3rd of September 2019 and now I am waiting for the weather to dry up a bit so that I might seal the concrete before winter. The driveway look incredible and we have had several compliments on it, even though it's just plain white concrete.

Can't say enough good things about them, you would be well advised to include them in any consultation if you are looking to go with a concrete driveway. Once again thank you John and the whole team at Solo Crete on a job well done.

Love the work and we have had concrete work previously so we know what to expect. They did a complete concrete wrap around our house. Looks great even after two years.

SoloCrete installed a 1200sq ft patio three years ago. Looks as good today as it did then. No cracks or breaks. This year we had two walkways and 1000sq ft of pool decking installed in same stamped concrete. Colour match was right on and now the pool area looks fabulous. Based on my experience I would highly recommend SoloCrete for this type of project.

We decided to replace our interlock stones due to the uneven surface and weeds growing between the cracks and to replace the asphalt driveway, front steps, front walk, side path and backyard deck in aggregate and patterned concrete. During my dog walks around the neighborhood I saw their work and I spoke with the residents who had used them and got positive feedback. When I called John (the owner of the business) he came and drove me to another location of a job he had just completed, this gave me the opportunity to speak to the owner and get his opinion on the work and the interaction with Solocrete. His comments were that the Solocrete crew are extremely skilled, hardworking, friendly and accommodating of all of our suggestions or questions. All the work was done in a meticulous manner, and was completed with care. The end result exceeded all of our expectations. John knows his trade, his passion to detail, he is a perfectionist, a man of his word, and not scared to get his hands dirty when needed. , I watched over them and they truly did not miss a thing. The site was always left clean. . The completed job is beautiful and has certainly added a great deal of value to our home. We have received so many fantastic compliments from family, neighbours and strangers passing by on the street.

I recently had concrete work done by Solcrete on my property from my front yard leading down to a pathway to the backyard. Approximately 350 sq ft. I must say that the staff was very professional and thorough with their work. John (Owner) was very respectful and provided positive feedback. They truly went out of their way. And just to make sure that they did what they promised, I watched over them and they truly did not miss a thing.

Furthermore, the day I was suppose to make my payment, I was told of a death in the family. I immediately had to leave the city to go out of town. When I called solocrete, they were very sympathetic and understanding. They allowed me to make the payment when I returned. That really helped.

I was also impressed by the amount of trucks and equipment they brought to the job site and the number of workers they had. All were very friendly. They also sweeped up and cleaned up after themselves.

I cannot speak for the negative reviews but I would definitely recommend them for concrete work. There aren't too many reliable concrete companies out there but Solocrete is definitely a good company. My neighbours are already asking me about this company and are planning to call them next summer for their concrete projects.

We spoke with Frank for a quote and he was very nice and explained the process of what they do and what would happen and we signed with him and gave a deposit. Although the process was nothing what he explained to us. We were told they would let us know a day or two before they would come to start excavation so we can take any plants or bushes out. This was in the fall so it was a good time to transplant. To our unexpected surprise they arrived at 7am with their machines and just started tearing through everything. I lost all the bushes and plants I wanted to keep. The job ended up looking good but there was no communication with us until payment was required. Overall it worked out but a little disappointing.

Superb customer service and very professional work. John was thorough from start to finish, answering all my questions with 100% satisfaction. I live on a very busy street with lots of passersby whom complimented my driveway.

The Framer/Forming guy (Yvan) was very creative and helpful in designing the project. Alberto did an amazing job in completing the stairs with a bullnose finish. I would also like to thank Victor and Carlo for their excellent work.

John (the owner of the business) is an ultimate professional who believes in quality workmanship and does what he says he will do. He has a team of specialists for the different steps of the stamped concrete process. It was evident that John and his team members are skilled and take pride in doing a good job. They were friendly and ever ready to answer questions.

Very impressed with the end result - already getting good reviews from my neighbours. Using Dufferin Concrete for the concrete is a testament to their commitment in delivering a quality product.

Before selecting Solocrete, I actually drove around and saw their work around GTA. I spoke to some of the people who had used them and generally got positive feedback. So then Jon came and gave me the best price compared to the 5 other quotes I had gotten at the time. Due to all this I decided to go with them.

Solocrete has a hugee team of specialized guys who all know what they are doing. The site was always left clean and the work done has been superb. Everyone who walks by gives me compliments on my driveway. Another challenging part of my driveway are 7 giant stairs leading to the main entrance. Jon made sure that those stairs don't move anywhere by creating a strong structure before pouring concrete. I also had Jon put up two 5' pillars on either side of the driveway entrance. Again Jon poured ALOT of concrete to ensure that they don't move either.

Finally, there was a small chip that I noticed this year so called up Jon to ask if he can fix it. The driveway also needed another coat of the sealer because my work was done very close to winter so the original sealer probably didn't get the climate to stick on too well (Jon had told me right then that if the sealer doesn't stick then he will reseal this summer). I am really happy to say that Solocrete kept their word and came back to fix the chip and reseal the driveway. It looks good as new.

Thank you Solocrete for your great workmanship and honesty. Jon's no bs attitude may at times feel a little harsh..lol, but he is really a great guy who has gone above and beyond when called upon. His team also really respects him and I can see why. He is not scared to get his hands dirty when needed, and also knows seems to know everything there is to know about this trade.

I am going to be using Solocrete to work on my side and backyard now and would recommend this company to anyone in a heartbeat.
