Ridley Windows & Doors Inc.

Went to Ridley because they were the only way to buy Norwood windows in Ontario. The experience was extremely frustrating.
1. The windows and doors were installed poorly. Doors were not plumb, did not close or open, Caulking was poorly done. The sent 7 (yes 7) repair people to fix the door. none of which were able to fix the problem, at times i thought one would reverse the work the other did. in the end the door (which cost $6000) had gouges in and had to be completely refinished and still didn't close properly.
2. window trim installed was done poorly and looked horrible. we had to have them come back with another crew to fix everything. They agreed that the work was done poorly, but alas the second crew was as bad as the first. In the end I made arrangements to have a finish carpenter come in and fix their poor workmanship.

Any benefits that the "high-end" windows are quickly removed once you factor in the headaches of dealing with them to come back and fix what they never finished.

2. The Process to get them to come and fix the issue took over 7 months and cost me 1500 out of pocket in repairs. Both the President and vice president were extremely useless in getting any issues resolved. "Put everything you need done on a list and we'll do what you ask". they kept saying they would send someone over to fix the issues but in the end it would be someone who would come to the house, make a bunch of cuts and scratches into the windows and doors and in the end say "I can't fix this, I'll have to come back" and they never would.

Don't waste your time and money dealing with Ridley. Any benefits that the "high-end" windows they sell have are quickly removed once you factor in the headaches of dealing with them to come back and fix what they never finished.
