My floor was installed last May, and this winter I noticed that the end seams are butting up - and chipping. According to Pacific Carpet (PC); I was accused of - poor maintenance on my part; not true. PC claimed that I used too much water to wash my floor - not true only used damp cloth. PC comes to inspect and claims that I don't have enough humidity in my home. I contacted Solida Cork Flooring in Mississauga (whose Technical support were also totally, extremely RUDE). According to the manufacturer, this is an installation problem. I was actually asked if the installer "left an expansion of 3/8" between walls or fixed objects". Unfortunately, I did not follow the installer with a ruler to insure his installation was correct. I am so sorry that I ever darkened the doors of Pacific Carpet and Flooring. Had other quotes - from Toronto that I should have gone with instead I chose local. Bad decision.
