We had a mold problem in our attic and looked into local companies who could provide a mold remediation service. We looked into a big chain (Servpro), but we always got the feeling that since we weren't a big corporate account, that we were barely worth their time. A family member recommended Case Handyman Services since they have been trained and certified to be mold remediators. Although the service itself cost an arm and a leg, we felt that we did receive professional and personalized service. They used some of the most common techniques in getting rid of mold off of wood (dry-ice blasting). They also handled the disposing of the old attic insulation and installation of the new batts. They even fixed an vent that is connected to our upstairs bathroom because they could tell that it was not hooked up correctly. They performed this service free of charge (and I never asked them to do it). They definitely go the extra mile. Now that the project is over, we truly feel that the mold is gone (and the tests that were taken afterwards hammer home that feeling).
