Office Move in North York

We had to relocate our office from North York to Mississauga and were referred to iMove by our Realtor. Upon contacting their office we were assigned with a project manager who coordinated the whole process from step 1. The move took 2 weekends to complete, required proper filing and labelling of our documents and reassembly of workstations. We are happy that our moving project was outlined in great detail and iMove's rep assisted with setup to ensure minimal downtime. A+ service

2 bedroom condo

iMove helped us move our 2 bedroom condo in the square one area this past weekend. They came highly recommended by our friends so we were confident in the choice. Rob, their foreman and his helping crew were very professional, showed up to our door 15 minutes early and hustled from the get go until the job was done. My upright piano was taken care of, my dining room set arrived without a scratch, everything went great. I'm one happy lady with several referrals. Thank you!

Charity Work

We needed to transport 120 boxes of shoes to a charity in Regina, SK and Lethbridge, AB
as part of our spring campaign. Unfortunately our original shipper could not meet the
required deadline and we were left stranded looking for a mover to help us. Although we
came across iMove through a random search online versus a recommendation, their representative
(Jennifer) was able to address our needs and arrange for pick-up of freight within 48 hours.
Our shipment was delivered within 6 days as promised at a very reasonable cost. We are very happy
with the service provided and will refer to iMove for our future moving needs.

Move from Calgary to Etobicoke

I used iMove's services for a long distance move from Calgary at the end of February. Referred by a friend i was confident in my expectations and iMove delivered on time. My furniture was packed and wrapped by the crew early morning, loaded on the carrier by early afternoon and arrived at my new condo in 7 days. The driver (Rob) was very professional and ensured i was pleased with the job done. A+ service.

Moving

iMove Canada is the worst moving service I have ever used or heard of in my life. My husband and I moved from Ottawa to Toronto in late August 2013 and I haven't even been able to come and write this review until now because every time I even think of the experience, I get so incredibly angry. On our scheduled move date (which they "guaranteed" over and over) they were 2 hours late... and with a too-small truck. How it's possible to arrive with a truck to small to move a 1+den apartment with very little furniture is beyond me. They tell us they'll come back later that night, so we leave our keys and begin our drive to Toronto. TWO DAYS LATER they decide to actually arrive and start moving our things, but now want $200 extra because they didn't realize there were stairs in our place - even though they came inside and definitely saw and approved the stairs the day they came with a too small truck.

From there, the driver apparently gets pulled over and suspended by MTO (who knows if this is even true) and we end up calling over 100 times to iMove, the driver's cell, the owner Adam's phone, to no avail. We're told finally our things would be arriving within a few hours. Then we hear nothing and a day passes. Then, again, we're told our things are "one hour outside Toronto". Another day passes. In total, the truck was MIA for 3 days with all of our possessions on it.

After sleeping multiple days on a hardwood floor with no clothes to change into or anything we'd need (did I mention we were supposed to start our new jobs immediately after our move?) the truck arrives and the owner, Adam, laughs at us and tells us he "dares" us to bring him to Small Claims Court. He tells us he'll leave with everything we have on the truck if we don't pay in full upfront AND add an extra $200 for having stairs (keep in mind this is the guy who came into our place the first time, saw the stairs and said they were fine and wouldn't result in any extra charge since there was so little on the second floor).

Our furniture was dinged up, boxes were broken, and Adam spent the whole time smirking. We paid $1200 plus tax, so it's not even as though we had this fantastic deal.

I would absolutely NEVER recommend this company to anyone.. EVER. Their "office" isn't even a real address. I drove there to find out where our things were on the second day of them being missing and the address is an empty lot in the middle of nowhere. We ended up having to file a police report and once authorities made contact, THAT is when we finally saw a truck arrive with our things on it.

Absolute nightmare. You would honestly be better grabbing random strangers off the street to help you with your move.

4 bedroom house in Thornhill

You guys were absolutely fantastic! I have moved 4 times in the past 3 years and this was hands down the only service I would call "professional". Proper truck, proper equipment and most of all a crew of movers that can actually lift heavy furniture without taking out my walls. I will certainly refer you to my builder/realtor friends with lots of moves to come!

Moving a 1 bedroom

UNRELIABLE, UNTRUSTWORTHY, CALL THE POLICE IF THEY DONT REPLY, DO NOT WAIT FOR THEM. I'm in first year university and live by myself in Toronto. I hired imove because they have a storage place. They were 2 hours late when they arrived at 6:30pm and had a massive truck that was full and could not fit all my furnitures in. They said they'd come back in an hour, but did not show up until 12am. Between that time, no one answered the phone, gives me no notice at all. I had to move out that day and need a place to stay for the night, but I ended up spending all day waiting for them. They charged me a 2 hour min when they only worked for half an hour because I had enough time to bring out all my furnitures outside, waiting for them to show up. They stored my furniture in their warehouse and was suppose to drop off my things at 6am one morning at my new condo because that was the only available elevator booking time. I had 3 friends waiting at 6 am for them and no one showed up. Called them a million times and did not get a single reply until 9pm. They messed up the time we booked...ok...the operator was not apologetic, uncommunicative, I told them i'll find another company to pick my furniture and they hung up on me. For the next couple of days, they could not be reached by phone. I sent them a friendly text that I will be calling the police and they replied in seconds. We booked another time and they came and dropped off my furniture. I had music stand missing and SCRATCHES ON EVERY TABLE. They ended up charging me more for loading things from storage, MOVING THINGS from storage, and 2 hours minimum. Was suppose to give me a 15% discount but the operator said i'm already getting discount. I dont want to argue anymore. I just want to start school with my belongings. This was a disaster! DO NOT MOVE WITH THEM. If they store your stuff, just call the police.
