Our situation sounds like a cliché: AC broke during a heat wave (that was also a long weekend). We wanted a quick and simple repair, without being pressured to buy a new system. After searching reviews for various other companies (Climax, Cozy Comfort, Reliance, etc.) we decided to take a chance with Husky. Although, given the number of positive reviews, perhaps it wasn't much of a gamble.
I called Husky and spoke to Victoria, who was polite and professional. She took my information and gave me a service window of four hours. Within the first hour, Ruslan phoned me to report that he was on his way. Upon arrival, Ruslan quickly replaced the capacitor and got the AC unit working again. He was thorough, and checked the refrigerant levels and interior condenser coils. There was never any pressure to buy a new system or parts that we didn't need.
My only criticism is that my credit card number was written down in order to process payment. I would rather pay with a portable point-of-sale terminal. However, I'm guessing that this approach is cheaper, and other companies might do the same thing.
Overall, we are very happy with the service received, and would highly recommend Husky to others. Our HVAC system is over 20 years old. We will probably have it replaced within a year. When we do, Husky will be our first choice.
