UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW:
Renewed for another season of the same service, and it was not the same quality as all. I was particularly annoyed at seeing fertilizer and grass seed in my kids’ sandbox and on my vegetable garden. Overall just not the same as the previous year. What happened?

Our lawn was really in need of some TLC this year, after a few years of very minimal maintenance. Though we usually found the time to mow the lawn, we didn't have time for all the "extras" like fertilizer, weed control and overseeding. Eventually, the lack of maintenance started to show, and early this spring I noticed that the lawn was partly dead, covered in holes because of grubs, over-run with weeds, and not looking very good overall. I went online to look for lawn-care service, and luckily found Hometurf. I signed up for their Complete package, plus an extra application of granular compost. After signing up, the service was very convenient and reliable. I would arrive home to find a sign that said "Your lawn was treated today" and hanging on the doorknob was a checklist itemizing what had been done, including a running list of all the services included in the package and the dates they were completed. I really liked being kept up to date without having to invest much time or effort. Now, the lawn looks considerably better than it did at the beginning of the season - the grub holes are gone, the lawn is thick and green, and the weeds have been reduced by about 70%. I've signed up for the complete service again next year. The company truly seems to value their customers' time; every interaction with them has been quick, easy and efficient.
