Happy with Cozy Comfort

I purchased a new air conditioner in August 2016 from Cozy Comfort. Shortly after it was installed I found out they installed a 2010 unit instead of a current model. Cozy Comfort said they were not aware it was a 2010 model. I had discussions with Brian at Cozy Comfort and in the end they replaced the 2010 unit with a 2016 unit. The installation people were very nice and efficient. I am happy that Cozy Comfort took the steps to fix the problem to my satisfaction.

Company Response

Thank you so much for expressing your concerns about the purchase and installation process of your unit. First and foremost, we want to apologize for not meeting your expectation throughout the sales transaction. Unfortunately, it’s an oversight on our part which we did not review the date in which the unit was built. We usually purchase our units by the model number. After this was brought to our attention, we consulted the manufacturer on the matter at once, to confirm whether or not the unit was up to standard. They assured us that the unit is exactly the same and there was no changes to this unit. The warranty start date begins on the day of installation, so you are actually covered for ten years on parts. Furthermore, we will be reviewing our inventory and sales process to prevent this from ever happening in the near future.
Thank you, we really appreciate your feedback!

Do Not Use this Company

I purchased an air conditioner from Cozy Comfort Plus in August 2016. About a week after it was installed, I found out they installed a 6 year old furnace that was manufactured in 2010. I discovered this because their office called me to ask for the serial number from the back of the air conditioner unit when their installer didn't provide it to them. The year of manufacture is included in the serial number. I was shocked and raised the issue with Cozy comfort Plus immediately. The sales manager, Brian K. who I met with originally, told me that the unit was not previously used, so it doesn't matter if it is 6 years old. I strongly disagree. If this was true, they would have told me up front. When I buy a new product, I assume that it is actually new. Who would think that to ask whether it has been sitting in a warehouse for the better part of a decade? Presumably it cost Cozy Comfort less to give me an old air conditioner than a new one. Otherwise they would have given me an actual new one or disclosed that it was 6 years' old, so I could have decided whether that was what I wanted. It was not what I wanted. I wanted a new air conditioner. When I found out, I asked them to replace it with a new (2016) model. They have ignored my request. Their conduct was deliberately deceptive. Cozy Comfort Plus cannot be trusted.
