Clarke Basement Systems

Clarke Basement Systems installed a WaterGuard Perimeter Waterproofing System in my basement.The two technicians,Fitz and Keith, did an excellent and very professional job. I was watching the whole procedure. They knew their job thoroughly well, and they clearly and courteously explained to me the whole procedure step by step. They did their work in a cheerful manner. They did not leave any mess behind.

I very much enjoyed Fitz's great sense of humour.

I had an ongoing water leakage problem repaired in my cold cellar. David Bunn was the sales rep. and Jose Martinez and Brendon Wallace did the work. Everyone was outstanding--great work ethic, informative, reliable, hard working, neat, efficient and very female friendly. I highly reommend them.

Fitz - was fabulous. He was on time, professional, answered all my questions, explained what he was doing and left no mess behind. I would deffinately reccomend them to anyone with a wet basement!

I have nothing but praise for Clarke Basement Systems' work on our homes' 2 crawlspaces. They came in July to complete an internal waterproofing job, and came back in September to work on the crawlspaces. It was not fun work, let me tell you. In some areas, due to ductwork and support beams, the height they had to work with was less than 3 feet high. We had mice in there last year, and it wasn't pretty. I was not going to work on the crawlspace at all and just seal it up as we were drywalling (I didn't know any better), but thankfully Claude told me the facts and we realized there was wood in there in contact with the soil: a prime environment for mold, and our ductwork (with open vents into the space) ran through there! Not healthy. We knew we had to do something, and when we discovered that mice had been in there, it was imperative that we deal with it before it got worse the next winter. I am so thankful that Claude was so knowledgeable and he was never pushy in any way, but wanted me to know what was going on so I could make an informed decision.

Rob, the foreman, was always cheerful even though the situation he was presented with was far less than ideal. The place was smelly, so low to the ground, and he had to go in there with a battery powered saw and take out all the wood. The opening he had to crawl through to get in was just the size of a window. A small one! The crew worked so hard, for several days, and did everything possible to ensure our crawlspace was transformed into a clean, healthy, dry, and neutral-smelling space. It was so bad when they started that my contractor, who was finishing another part of the basement at the time, had to leave for two days! When they finished, the window-openings were left open for a couple of days and you would not know it was the same space. It did not smell at all and was dry and clean. I cannot thank them enough for their HARD work, WONDERFUL attitude, and expertise. You guys are a 10/10! Thank you Claude, ROB, Mark, Noel, and the rest of the crew (different people came on different days).

We had previously had work done around the outside of our cottage to ensure moisture did not accumulate in the crawl space. While this was successful so far , we wanted to make sure we waterproofed the inside as well. We installed the Clarke system and while we won't know the result for some time, we were very impressed with the workmanship. Jose and Dave were exceptional with their workmanship. They cleaned out the crawl space (which was not easy) and provided information as the job progressed. Above all they were a joy to have around and provided the confidence one needs when they're making this kind of investment. If you're buying the sysyem, get Jose and Dave to install it.

Our basement wall was damp and water pooled in another corner of the floor away from the walls. Instead of digging up the side of the house (20K estimate), we were advised by Keith that installing a sump pump and water guard around the perimeter of our 90 year old semi would solve both problems. After the installation (lots of cement dust all over the house--unavoidable), our wall-to-wall carpeted floors needed to be redone and our walls painted as the drywall had to be cut-up to install the water-guard. Keith & Ivan were professional, courteous and friendly. The workmanship was excellent. The time to finish the job was longer than expected and I am still not sure if the damp part of the wall has been solved. But I have not seen any more pooling water...will see what the winter thaw will bring next spring. But, a 25 year warranty is a plus.

I had a leaking basement. Me and my husband renovated our basement approximatley 1 year ago. Had all new broadloom laid which was ruined due to a crack in the foundation in the basement. I had a problem with water coming in from where the floor meets the walls and from doing some searching online I came across Clarke Basement Systems and based on their reviews I decided to give them a call. Keith loveless was the person who came out to assess my properties and he spend a great deal of time with myself and my tenants. He educated us on what the problem was and the different options that we have to repair it.

Rain had created problems in a 60 year old home surrounded by trees. the exterior weeping tiles were no longer functional in places, causing water to seep in under the unfinished basement walls. Keih Loveless followed up my call very quickly and provided a through explanation of the Clarke system that would solve the problem. The Clarke basement system is well designed, and will solve the water problem.
