Carson Dunlop & Associates Home Inspection

So informative, really thorough and actually a real pleasure to spend time with Gordon. I left feeling like I knew exactly what I was getting into in purchasing this house.

I am a realtor in Central Toronto and I always use Carson Dunlop for my home inspections as they are well respected by the buying public. I have recently used Gordon Mathieu who is an engineer and a terrific home inspector...thorough, extremely knowledgeable and very efficient.

I hired Carson Dunlop to inspect my home in August of last year. They did a very good job, including finding a slow penetration of water in the finished basement.
What impressed me the most is their offer to allow you to continue to ask questions after the inspection has complete for as long as you own your home. I tested this out this week by emailing the inspector and asking him about the attic venting system. He got back to me immediately, having analyzed his photo archive, and answered my questions promptly and thoroughly. I am very impressed with the customer service!!

Inspection Gordon Mathieu came and did an inspection on a house I was planning on purchasing. it was very short notice provided to Gordon Dunlop and they still were able to send someone out to the site. Very friendly, informative, and explained the aspects and process. Highly recommended.

We were looking for an old home in a very competitive neighbourhood. Things moved very quickly when we found our house we were interested in - showing at 7 pm, 8am the next day, we called Carson Dunlop & Associates. They accommodated our last minute request and we met Gordon Mathieu at 1 pm. We were EXTREMELY impressed with Gordon. He was extremely knowledgable and thorough and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. Moving from a condo to a house, we learned a lot about our home inside out. Gordon pointed out some minor improvements required and approximate cost and also pointed the many upgrades and how well they were done which helped us rationalize an appropriate offer. We asked a lot of questions and never felt rushed. He provided the full home inspections including photos less than 3 hours after his visit. Thanks to Gordon we were very comfortable making an offer on a house less than 24 hours after the showing. Gordon is professional, extremely knowledgable and a really good guy. We knew we would call on Gordon again if we did not get this house but thankfully we did. If you want a thorough and honest report card for your house, ask for Gordon - you will not be disappointed!!!!

We used Carson Dunlop for a home inspection of a house that was almost 30 years old and they did a fantastic job. We had Gordon who was punctual, knowledgeable and easy to speak with. He spoke with us about what had been done and what was in the house, what would need repairs and how soon, plus gave us approximate costs for repairs. He also took a ton of photos and sent a very detailed report later that day with pictures and diagrams to show any trouble areas and how things should look. Finally, Gordon recorded the product numbers for all appliances in the home and added us to a list to receive notification for any recalls on said appliances.
